Abstract: A modular power and/or data system for mounting to a substrate includes a housing for connection to rear surface of substrate. The housing includes a base, a top, and sidewalls. The top has a peripheral flange extending outwardly from sidewalls and has openings to receive fasteners for connecting housing to rear surface of substrate. The base and sidewalls define an interior volume of the housing, and the top defines an opening into the interior volume. A frame for mounting at least one electrical power or data port in the opening of the substrate is connected relative to the housing. The relative connection between the housing and the frame permits adjustment of a spacing S between the housing base and the frame.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.

The assembly comprises: mounting means adapted for embedded anchorage relative to the supporting surface; a holder having an aperture for receiving and holding the electrical module, the holder being adapted for moveable engagement with the mounting means to facilitate adjustment of a position of the electrical module relative to the supporting surface; and fastening means for fastening the holder to the mounting means, the fastening means being accessible for unfastening and refastening via the aperture to facilitate re-adjustment of the position of the electrical module relative to the supporting surface.
