Abstract: A high-speed and high-quality nail-making system is disclosed. The system includes an inner wheel, which is rotated by a motor and a power transmission unit and which clamps and transfers steel wire pieces, an outer wheel, which is passively rotated and which is eccentrically disposed outside the inner wheel so as to press the steel wire pieces at a punching portion, at which the outer wheel is positioned closest to the inner wheel, inner and outer wheel dies, which are mounted on the inner wheel and the outer wheel and which are positioned closest to each other at the punching portion so as to grip the steel wire pieces, a punching unit, which is rotated together with the inner wheel and which punches front ends of the steel wire pieces to form nail heads, and an ejector disposed between the inner wheel and the outer wheel so as to discharge the finished nail.

Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic alignment apparatus for rubber bands which automatically aligns a rubber band so as to automate a rubber banding process. The automatic alignment apparatus for rubber bands includes a pair of alignment rods installed in parallel on a plate, screw grooves respectively formed on outer circumferential surfaces of the alignment rods, alignment grooves formed on upper parts of the alignment rods, limit parts formed above the alignment grooves to prevent an aligned rubber band from being separated from the alignment rods, a driving unit and a power transmission unit to rotate the alignment rods, a first sensing unit to sense the rubber band aligned by rotation of the alignment rods, a second sensing unit to sense a consumption state of rubber bands temporarily banded onto the alignment rods, and a controller.

Abstract: A collated strip of fasteners for use in a powered nail gun. Each fastener has a head and an elongated shank extending outwardly therefrom and the plurality of fasteners are disposed aligned one with the other. At least two wire members are secured to the shanks of the aligned plurality of fasteners so as to form a strip of connected fasteners. A first wire member is secured to a first side of each of the shanks and a second wire member is secured to a second and opposite side of each of the shanks. The first and second wire members are spaced a distance apart from each other so that a stable strip of fasteners is formed. A third wire member may also be secured to the first side of the shanks a spaced distance from the first wire member. In this instance, the second wire member is secured to the second and opposite side of the shanks in a position intermediate the first and third wire members.
