Abstract: A pressure supply between a variator shaft and a pressure chamber (6) for the axial displacement of the mobile disc of a pair of conic pulleys of a continuously adjustable automatic transmission, which includes a longitudinal borehole (7) and radial boreholes (8, 9) in a variator shaft (1), as well as a radial borehole (10) in the locating disc. For each pressure chamber (6) there are at least two piercing radial boreholes made in the variator shaft, which are axially shifted from each other and rotated approximately 90° between themselves. The oil can run over the longitudinal borehole of the variator shaft and over the radial boreholes through the radial borehole in a locating disc of a pressure chamber (6), in such a way that the oil flow is always ensured regardless of the axial position or of the tangential location of the locating disc regarding the variator shaft.
Abstract: A reversing gearset of a continuously variable transmission, in particular a continuously variable belt transmission has a drive input shaft (6), a primary shaft (10), a simple planetary gearset with a sun gear (2), a web (3) for the planetary gears (4) and an annular gear (5) and two shift elements (7, 8) for shifting to the forward or the reverse directions. The transmission ratio of the reversing gearset (1), in the reverse direction, is greater than one (i.e., it is a speed-drop ratio), such that in the forward direction, the transmission ratio of the reversing gearset (1) is equal to one.
Abstract: A variator for ratio adjustment of a continuously variable chain drive transmission having one variator shaft (1) and one variator pulley (2) supported upon the variator shaft (1) and axially movable by pressurizing a variator pressure chamber (31). The variator shaft (1) has on one end an axial hole (10) through which the variator pressure chamber (31) and a second pressure chamber (8) can be loaded with pressure independent of each other. The pressure is supplied to the variator pressure chamber (31) via a first section (13) of the axial hole (10) and the pressure is supplied to the second pressure chamber (8) via a non-rotating pipe (7) and a second section (15) of the axial hole (10), the pipe (7) is situated within the first hole section (13).

Abstract: The invention describes a method and a device for controlling a drive train of a motor vehicle with a drive assembly and a continuously variable automatic transmission with a variable speed gear, wherein an electronic control unit for controlling at least the continuously variable automatic transmission and an emergency device are provided, with this unit being activated in the event of failure of the electronic control unit and a constant pressure/force ratio being established in the variable speed gear. Pursuant to the invention, in the event of failure of the electronic control unit the frictional connection between the drive assembly and the continuously variable automatic transmission is interrupted before the emergency driving mode is made available through the emergency device by re-establishing the frictional connection.
