  • Patent number: 10774826
Abstract: An inline monitoring package for a submersible pumping system includes a housing having a first end for connection to a motor, a pump or a seal section of the pumping system, and a second end for connection to the motor, the pump or the seal section. The housing is disposed between any two of the pump, the motor and the seal section. A shaft transmits rotation from the motor to the pump. The housing comprises a chassis having a through bore and an end plug at each longitudinal end. The through bore has a diameter selected to enable free passage of the shaft and fluid associated with the shaft. The end plugs sealingly engage an interior wall of the housing so as to define a sealed chamber inside the housing and external to the chassis between the end plugs. At least one electronic component is disposed in the sealed chamber.

  • Patent number: 10036210
Abstract: A method for deploying a pump system in a wellbore includes coupling the pump system to one end of a tubing encapsulated cable. The cable is extended into a wellbore drilled through a subsurface fluid producing formation. The tubing encapsulated cable has an outer tube extending substantially continuously from the end thereof connected to the pump system to a surface end of the cable. The outer tube is made from material selected to exclude fluid in the wellbore from an interior of the outer tube. The cable includes at least one electrical conductor disposed inside the outer tube, wherein a rated load current of the at least one electrical conductor is selected such that substantially continuous electrical current drawn by the electrical load device exceeds the rated current of the at least one electrical conductor.

  • Patent number: 9973065
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a coil module for a stator for a tubular linear motor includes placing a plurality of bobbins and spacers on a winding mandrel and winding the plurality of bobbins with a single length of wire to form a set of coils. Three sets of such coils are interleaved on an encapsulation mandrel. A plurality of metal comb shaped elements, each including a longitudinal spine and a plurality of teeth are distributed about the circumference of the three interleaved sets of coils to form a coil module. The coil module and the mandrel are surrounded with an encapsulation mold. An encapsulating material is introduced into the encapsulation mold. The encapsulated coil module is removed from the encapsulating mold and the encapsulation mandrel after setting of the encapsulating material.

  • Patent number: 9695667
Abstract: An electrical submersible pump system includes an electric motor operably coupled to a fluid pump which includes first and second fluid ports. The first and second ports are selectively operable as a fluid intake and a fluid discharge of the fluid pump with reversal of a direction of rotation of the fluid pump. Valves in the system are controllable to selectively direct fluid discharge of the fluid pump to an inflation volume of the inflatable packer and toward the surface in a wellbore tubing. The valves are further controllable to vent pressure in the inflation volume to deflate the packer.
