Patent number: 8609029Abstract: A device for sanitizing and disinfecting a space includes a tank having an interior space for holding an aqueous sanitizing, disinfecting, and/or sterilizing liquid, a bottom sector, an air inlet sector, and an exhaust sector, inner walls of the exhaust sector and the air inlet sector forming a substantially V-shaped air pathway within the interior space. A liquid cascading reactor vessel is positioned within the bottom sector of the tank, a top edge of the reactor vessel in adjustably spaced relation from a notch in the V-shaped air pathway. A vibratable ultrasonic head array is positionable within and beneath a top edge of the reactor vessel and is submergable within the reactor vessel for vibrating the disc to form atomized micro-particles from the liquid. Air can be drawn into the air inlet, and the formed atomized micro-particles can be exhausted from the exhaust outlet.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2010Date of Patent: December 17, 2013Assignee: Zimek Technologies IP, LLCInventors: Kurt E. Patent number: 8062588Abstract: A device for sanitizing a space includes a tank having an interior space for holding an aqueous sanitizing liquid. A reactor vessel is supported within the interior space and above a bottom of the tank. A liquid depth in the tank interior space is maintained at a level beneath a top edge of the reactor vessel. An ultrasonic head comprising an ultrasonically vibratable disc for generating ultrasonic energy is positionable within and beneath the top edge of the reactor vessel. Liquid is transferrable from the tank interior space to the reactor vessel to a level for substantially submerging the ultrasonic head. The disc is vibrated to form an atomized fog of particles from the aqueous sanitizing liquid. The formed atomized fog is exhausted from the reactor vessel to a space exterior of the tank. A sanitizing composition is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2006Date of Patent: November 22, 2011Assignee: Zimek Technologies IP, LLCInventors: David W. Sparks, Roy Beckett

Patent number: 7524454Abstract: A device for sanitizing a space includes a tank for holding an aqueous sanitizing liquid. A pair of ultrasonic heads is provided, wherein each head has a plurality of vibratable discs for generating ultrasonic energy. A device for vibrating the discs is provided to form an atomized fog of particles from the liquid. A pair of flotation supports float atop the liquid in the tank, each having means for holding a head atop the liquid. A fan is positioned above the supports for distributing the fog throughout a space. The device may also be used to distribute a liquid by creating the atomized fog as above and directing the fog to a desired location.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2005Date of Patent: April 28, 2009Assignee: Zimek Technologies IP, LLCInventor: David W.
