Abstract: A traction control module for a hydrostatic drive that has a hydraulic pump which drives at least two hydraulic wheel motors in a parallel closed looped configuration with each wheel motor. The traction control has a branch flow path that is in parallel with a main flow path. A dynamically balanced slidable valve acts between the main and the branch flow paths to control fluid flow to the associated wheel motor. When the load on one of the wheels is partially, but not entirely lost, the slidable valve reacts to maintain system pressure at substantially its preexisting level.
