Abstract: Described are examples of a seating arrangement for an aircraft with a first seat in a first accommodation space and a second seat in a second accommodation space, wherein the first and second accommodation spaces are configured to share a common floor space at a floor level of the aircraft. One seating arrangement includes a divider screen located between the first and second accommodation spaces, moveable, by sliding in a direction along the common floor space, between a stowed position permitting passenger egress between the first and second accommodation spaces across the common floor space, and a deployed position preventing passenger egress between the first and second accommodation spaces across the common floor space.

Abstract: The present invention provides a table arrangement 100 for use in an aircraft seat module, the table arrangement comprising a first table element suitable for being movably mounted to a mounting structure of the aircraft seat module, the first table element being provided with a first table surface, a second table element provided with a second table surface substantially parallel to the first table surface, wherein the second table element is mounted to the first table element, such that the second table element is moveable from a first position with respect to the first table element to a second position with respect to the first table element, the second position being transformed from the first position within the plane of the second table element. The present invention also provides an aircraft seat module, an aircraft and a method of deploying a table arrangement.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to a tray table arrangement having multiple leaves. The leaves are vertically stacked when stowed. Upon deployment, an upper leaf moves primarily horizontally and then lowered/seated vertically with respect to a lower leaf to present the full table to the user. The sequence is reversed for stowage.

Abstract: The present invention provides a table arrangement comprising a table moveably mounted to a table mounting structure, a compensation arrangement connected between the table and table mounting structure for reducing the force required to lift the table from a lowered position to a raised position, and a damper arrangement for reducing the speed of the table as it moves from the raised position to the lowered position, wherein the compensation arrangement is mounted on a shaft, such that as the table is lowered, the shaft rotates about its longitudinal axis and wherein the damping arrangement is arranged to act on the shaft to reduce the speed of its rotation about its longitudinal axis. The invention also provides an aircraft seat module and a method of deploying or stowing a table arrangement.

Abstract: A table arrangement including a support member rotatably mounted to a base structure, a table element translatably mounted to the support member, and a locking mechanism is described. The locking mechanism may include a first locking member connected to the support member to rotate with the support member between non-aligned and aligned configurations with respect to the second locking member, and a second locking member. The first or second locking member may be translatably mounted with respect to the other locking member between a first engagement position and a second engagement position, wherein, when the first locking member is in the aligned configuration, the first or second locking member can translate into the second engagement position. The table arrangement may be deployed and stowed.

Abstract: An aircraft cabin (26) has a plurality of seat units (10) including first (10) and second (12) seat units in a first row (22) and a third seat unit (14) in a second row (24). The first and second seat units (10, 12) are separated by an aisle (38). The seats all face in the same direction (31), said direction (31) being inclined to the longitudinal axis (30) by a seat offset angle (S?), and are configurable between a bed mode and a seat mode. A console (20a) of the first seat unit (10) is directly adjacent to the aisle (38) and accommodates a foot-well (40) for use by a passenger in the seat (18c) of the third seat unit (14). At least a part of the console (20a) of the first seat unit (10), in a region no higher than a first distance from the floor, extends further into the aisle (38) than the rest of the first seat unit (10) in a region higher than the first distance from the floor.

Abstract: The present invention provides table arrangement comprising a housing that has an open configuration and a closed configuration, a table, which, when in a stowed configuration is at least partially housed in the housing, and when in a presented configuration, is partially protruding from the housing, and an activation mechanism for opening and closing the housing, which is linked by a mechanical linkage to the table or housing such that when the activation mechanism closes the housing, the table changes from the presented configuration to the stowed configuration. The invention also provides an aircraft seat module, an aircraft and a method of stowing a table arrangement.

Abstract: An aircraft seat arrangement includes first and second seats and first and second consoles, the first console being in front of the first seat and adjacent to the second seat, such that the first and second consoles and the first and second seats are in a staggered arrangement. A table is housed by the first console. The table is arranged for movement to a stowed position, in which the table is inserted within said first console. The table is arranged for, optionally horizontal, movement to a deployed position, in which the table is positioned aft of the first console so as to be suitable for use by a passenger seated in the first seat. The table may be arranged to present different areas of useable table surface.

Abstract: The seats are swivellable about axes (1) and arranged with their axes in column axes (2). The seats each have a direction (4) extending from the middle of the seat back through the middle of the seat cushion (22), intersecting the seat's swivel axis. Extending equally on either side of the seat direction is defined a seat projection (5) forwards of the seat cushion and having the same width as the seat cushion. The swivel is set up to allow the seat to be turned through 6 from 17.5 to the longitudinal axis of the column (and the aircraft to be equipped with the seats) to 23.5. At 17.5, as in column IV, the seats partially face the seats in front in the column. This is the maximum angle at which the regulatory authorities will allow a lap belt only to be worn by a passenger for TTL. When the seats are swivelled outwards to 23.5, they face the space (6) along side the seat in front and can be converted to bed mode.

Abstract: A door panel 1 has a peripheral frame 10 of extruded aluminum and a honeycomb core of plastics material tubes 11. An outer skin 2 of fiber-reinforced polyetherimide material is recessed with a pattern 3 formed in a preliminary operation of vacuum/pressure forming at elevated temperature. An inner skin 4 is plane. Edge channel members 5 of similarly formed, but thicker material are arranged around the edges of the door, enclosing the aluminum frame. A non-woven, polyester based scrim 6 extends across either side of the core and over the flanges 7 of the edge channels. For bonding of the core, skin and edge channels together, the assembly is placed in a jig and compressed at elevated temperature in a heated press. The core is crushed at the recessed pattern 3 and the scrim melts and acts as a hot melt adhesive. On cooling of the press platens, the assembled door is removed from the jig.

Abstract: There is provided an aircraft seat cubicle that has a seat convertible to a bed, a foot rest or ottoman, a table and a light, each movable lengthways of the cubicle. One of the items of furniture is received on a track. The item of furniture can be driven towards or away from the seat via a pulley, a cable, and a drive motor. A tension spring in the run of the cable stretches and releases its tension in order to allow the cable to slip on a capstan at one end of the track for driven movement of the furniture.

Abstract: An aircraft seat has a chassis (21), fixed to a pallet which is fixed to the floor of the aircraft. The chassis has two load bearing sides (23) and opposite ends (24, 25). Fixed along the top edge of the sides (23) and facing outwards are pins (26) supporting bearing wheels (27). These on each side engage with a rectangular S form interconnection beam (28) having an inside groove (29) for receiving these wheels. On the outside, the beam has another groove (30) receiving similar wheels (31), on pins (32) fixed to the inside of side plates (41) of a sub-frame (42), these side plates being interconnected by front and rear beams (43, 44). Thus the sub-frame can move back and forth, with the wheels acting as rolling element bearings. The beams move half the distance of the sub-frame, in analogous manner to the bearing of filing cabinet drawers.
