  • Patent number: 10858853
Abstract: Buoyant, autonomous devices for actively scrubbing upstanding walls of swimming pools and spas at and nearby their waterlines are detailed. The devices may be configured to float on and travel along a surface of water of a pool and include at least one brush or scrubber adapted to contact pool walls. An electric motor may cause the scrubber to rotate about a shaft or axle, with frictional contact between the scrubber and the wall dislodging dirt and debris therefrom. In particular, if a scrubber is conically shaped and angled relative to the vertical direction, its rotating blades may lift water from the pool to hydrate dried debris stuck to the wall, thereby facilitating dislodging of the debris.

  • Publication number: 20200378143
Abstract: Brushes for robotic or other automatic swimming pool cleaners may include circumferentially-spaced blades extending radially from cylindrical cores. The blades beneficially are not longitudinally continuous, however. Instead, some or all of the blades are discontinuous along the lengths of the cores, creating fluid-flow paths tending to reduce the pump blade effect when the cleaners are operating.

  • Patent number: 10848357
Abstract: A method for estimating parameters of a single signal or mixed-frequency signals in a given frequency band comprises: receiving the signal(s); calculating a spectral correlation function having variables f and ? (cyclic frequency) for different values of L taken from a set of q strictly positive values, where, for each q, ? can independently take on one or more discrete values and/or cover one or more value ranges; from each calculation, extracting a set of local maxima detected on the basis of the variables f and ? or on the basis of variable f for each discrete value of ?, each of said peaks being characterized by a triplet [LApi, LFpi, L?pi], LFpi and L?pi being the frequency and cyclic frequency of said triplet, respectively, and LApi being the amplitude; and identifying groups of triplets as being the signature left by a set of parameters making up the signal(s).

  • Patent number: 10844621
Abstract: A filter door for an autonomous, submersible vehicle is disclosed. The filter door includes a living hinge that biases the panel to a closed position. The living hinge may be provided by mesh that extends beyond the periphery of a panel to create a living hinge. The mesh may also prevent dirt and debris from entering or escaping around a pivot edge of the panel. This increases the life span of the filter door and the cleaning efficiency of the autonomous, submersible vehicle.
