  • Patent number: 10989335
Abstract: A pipe support is coupled to an elongated channel for receiving and supporting a pipe. The channel includes a base and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls extending from the base to a top plate. A flange projects downwardly from each top plate towards the base and defines a slot therebetween. The pipe support includes a body portion extending axially between opposite ends and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The body portion includes a generally arcuate bottom floor and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls projecting generally upwardly from the bottom floor. A plurality of axially spaced apart channel clips project downwardly from the outer surface of the body portion opposite the side walls. The channel clips have a leg portion and an outwardly projecting barb portion wherein the channel clips extend through the slot in the channel and the barb portions engage the respective spaced apart flanges to operatively couple the pipe support to the channel.

  • Patent number: 10914405
Abstract: A riser clamp assembly for receiving and supporting an insulated pipe. The clamp assembly includes a first riser clamp and a second riser clamp. Each of the riser clamps includes a semi-circular body portion extending arcuately between opposite first and second ends and defining an inner cylindrical wall and an outer cylindrical wall extending axial between top and bottom edges. A generally C-shaped flange projects radially from the inner cylindrical wall generally midway between the top and bottom edges to define an axial center opening. A support brace extends radially from the outer cylindrical wall adjacent each end of the body portion for interconnecting the first and second riser clamps around the insulated pipe.

  • Patent number: 7179010
Abstract: An adjustable clamp assembly capable of securing various sized cylindrical members is generally formed from a high strength plastic material dispensing the need for a cushion insert for the cylindrical member disposed therebetween. The clamp assembly contains a pair of unitary clamp halves having an inner surface contoured to adequately contact the surface of various sized cylindrical members to provide support when clamping forces are applied. The clamp halves can be interlockingly engageable with one another to enhance the cylindrical member size adjustment capability.

  • Patent number: 5215281
Abstract: A two-piece cushion insert for a U-bolt clamp assembly for securing large diameter elongate cylindrical members, such as pipe, tubing, conduit or hose, to a support surface is disclosed. The cushion insert comprises a base member and a cushion strip member which cooperate to provide a passageway that encompasses the cylindrical member. The base member includes a concave portion for receiving the cylindrical member and two flange portions each having a shoulder extending upwardly and inwardly away from the flange portion. The cushion strip is of uniform cross-section and has an outer surface having raised portions that define an arcuate saddle for receiving the U-bolt and for preventing relative axial movement between the U-bolt and the cushion insert. Once assembled in the U-bolt clamp assembly, the cushion strip is securely supported at its ends between the U-bolt and the shoulders of the flange portions.

  • Patent number: 5014940
Abstract: A clamp assembly for securing elongate cylindrical members, such as pipe, tubing, conduit or hose, to a support surface. The clamp assembly comprises a split sleeve shock absorbing cushion and a U-shaped rod or bolt member. The cushion has an outer surface comprising a spaced pair of raised portions that form a saddle for the U-bolt rod member. When the U-bolt member is attached to the support surface the cushion is retainably engaged by the U-bolt and transmits the clamping force from the U-bolt across the full width of the inner surface of the cushion to the cylindrical member.

  • Patent number: 4516296
Abstract: A two-piece clamp for securing elongate cylindrical members, such as pipe, tubing, conduit or hose, to a channel. The two-piece clamp has two clamp halves fabricated with an aperture at one end. A stud is non-rotatably secured in the aperture of one of the clamp halves and is adapted to be detachably secured in the aperture of the other clamp half. A spacer may be integrally formed on the stud for permitting the clamp halves to be squarely clamped together. The method and machine for securing the stud to a clamp half features an automated assembly system for forming one end of the stud after assembling the clamp half thereon to securely lock the stud onto the clamp half.
