Abstract: A thermosiphon is provided for a computing system. The thermosiphon includes an evaporating portion and a pool portion. The evaporating portion is operable to be in thermal communication with a computing component of the computing system. The evaporating portion is operable to retain an evaporating volume of fluid to lower a temperature of the computing component. The pool portion is in fluid communication with the evaporating portion. The pool portion is operable to receive excess fluid of the fluid from the evaporating portion when a volume of the fluid in the evaporating portion is greater than the evaporating volume.

Abstract: A jig includes a lifting component and a sliding component. The lifting component is operable to receive a graphics processing unit (GPU) tray. The lifting component includes one or more grooves operable to receive the GPU tray. A sliding component is operable to receive a GPU board when the sliding component is in a reception configuration. The sliding component is operable to transition from the reception configuration to a deployment configuration where the GPU board is received in the GPU tray.

Abstract: A cam latching device is provided for a computing system being installed in a rack. The cam latching device can include a cam and a locking mechanism. The cam includes a handle portion and an engagement portion. The cam includes a locking surface formed thereon. Rotation of the handle portion causes the engagement portion to rotate. The locking mechanism includes a push component and a lock. The push component abuts against a button disposed on a rail of the rack as the computing system translates along a longitudinal axis. When the push component slides against the button, the locking mechanism transitions from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration. In the locked configuration, the lock abuts against the locking surface to prevent the rotation of the cam. In the unlocked configuration, the lock is retracted away from the locking surface so that the cam is rotatable.

Abstract: A fluid control apparatus can include a housing and a drainage hose. The housing can form a chamber operable to receive at least one air vent for a cooling system such that the housing surrounds the air vent and prevents fluid exiting the air vent from passing through the housing. The drainage hose can be fluidly coupled with the housing. The drainage hose can be operable to drain fluid from the chamber of the housing to a drainage tray.

Abstract: A transceiver protection device includes a body operable to be coupled with a cable. The cable is operable to be coupled, via a connector of the cable, to a transceiver. A detach component is operable to receive a detach force to detach the cable from the transceiver. The detach component extends from the body such that the detach component is adjacent to the transceiver when the cable is coupled with the transceiver. A catch component extends from the body. The catch component is operable to be received in an aperture formed by a hanger of the transceiver.

Abstract: A rack mounted cooling system operable to cool a computing system is provided. The rack mounted cooling system includes a pump unit operable to pump fluid and a plurality of heat exchangers. The heat exchangers include an input heat exchanger and an outlet heat exchanger. The input heat exchanger is operable to receive the fluid from the pump unit, lower a temperature of the fluid, and provide the fluid to a liquid cooled computing unit. The outlet heat exchanger is operable to receive the fluid from the liquid cooled computing unit, lower the temperature of the fluid, and provide the fluid to the pump unit. The heat exchangers are operable to be coupled to a rack of the computing system such that the rack with the plurality of heat exchangers fits within a rack keep in area.

Abstract: A cam system for a liquid cooled computing unit with blind-mate quick disconnects include a cam and a cam guide. The cam guide is operable to engage with the cam. The cam guide includes a bearing guide and a fixed guide. The cam engages first with the bearing guide then engages with the fixed guide to a latched configuration. When the cam engages with the cam guide and transitions to the latched configuration, the cam translates a chassis of the computing unit along a longitudinal axis to blind-mate the quick disconnects.

Abstract: A manifold system includes a supply manifold and a return manifold. The supply manifold delivers fluid to cold plates to cool processing units of a computing system. The return manifold receives the fluid from the cold plates. The supply manifold has supply fluid ports equidistantly spaced about the side surface of the supply manifold, and the return manifold has return fluid ports equidistantly spaced about the side surface of the return manifold.

Abstract: A fan guard includes a guard housing and a plurality of guard blades. The guard housing includes an outer tunnel wall forming a housing aperture to permit air to flow across the guard housing. The guard blades are disposed in the housing aperture. Each of the guard blades extend from the guard housing towards a center of the housing aperture. Each guard blade at least partially overlaps an adjacent guard blade. Each of the guard blades are droplet shaped.

Abstract: A boiler plate is provided. The boiler plate includes a heat spreader layer operable to transfer heat from a computing component across the heat spreader layer. The heat spreader layer extends along a plane. At least one heat pipe extends from the heat spreader layer in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane away from the computing component. The at least one heat pipe is operable to transfer the heat away from the heat spreader layer to reduce a temperature of the computing component.

Abstract: A lock device may include a slider assembly including a first slider, a second slider movably coupled to the first slider, and a base having a planar portion with a top rail and a bottom rail that hold the slider assembly and allows the relative movement of the first slider relative to the second slider along the top and bottom rails in the base. The second slider can move relative to the first slider to different positions including a latch lock position, a latch unlock position, and a latch impending lock position. The lock device may also include a latch assembly attached to a chassis. The latch assembly including a latch element is configured to move to a first, a second, and a third heights from the top rail of the base corresponding to the latch lock position, the latch unlock position, and the latch impending lock position of the slider assembly, respectively.

Abstract: A method is provided for dynamically controlling fan speed of a computing system during boot and reboot. The method may include receiving an ambient temperature from a sensor by a controller. The method may also include controlling speed for one or more fans dynamically based upon the ambient temperature using a dynamic algorithm during boot and reboot of the computing system. The dynamic algorithm may include a function for the fan speed of the one or more fans based upon the ambient temperature.
