Abstract: A drain is positioned in an aperture in a floor surface. The drain includes a flange that defines an opening, extends overt the floor surface and engages the floor surface. A first conduit is connected to the flange and extends through the aperture in the floor surface. The first conduit defines a first length extending downward from the flange and also defines a first perimeter. A second conduit is connected to the flange and extends through the aperture in the floor surface. The second conduit defines a second length extending downward from the flange, and defines a second perimeter. The second perimeter is greater than the first perimeter, the second conduit surrounds the first conduit, the second conduit is outwardly spaced from the first conduit, and the first conduit and the second conduit are coaxial.

Abstract: A plumbing system for generating electrical power, including a hydroelectric generator assembly configured to generate power, a power source arranged in parallel with the hydroelectric generator assembly, and an interconnecting power harness in communication with the hydroelectric generator assembly and the power source. The plumbing system additionally includes a plumbing fixture in communication with the interconnecting power harness. The plumbing fixture includes a valve and a sensor configured to detect the presence of a user. The hydroelectric generator assembly is configured to provide power to the valve.

Abstract: A plumbing fixture assembly including a fluid flow detection system for monitoring fluid flow and flow characteristics through plumbing fixtures without contacting the fluid. The fluid flow detection system communicates collected data related to the plumbing fixtures to a water management system, which analyzes the data and provides information to a user through a portal and user interface. The fluid flow detection system also tracks users of the plumbing fixtures for compliance with a hand washing routine. The hand washing compliance data is communicated to the water management system as well.
