Patent number: 4736938Abstract: An improved suction feeder, particularly for printing machines is disclosed, wherein higher feeding and printing speeds are made possible. The main features of the invention is that in the body of the suction feeder is a small conduit channel and an air filling small channel which connect an inleading small channel for the bringing of pressurized air into an empty space over a small piston. In the said small conduit channel is formed a pressure spring in the upper part of said small conduit channel, and a seat in which a small ball is placed on the other end. The above described suction feeder works on the principle of the difference of air pressure above and below the small piston. While individual paper sheets are being lifted from a pile of sheets, the pressurized air is led into the empty space over the small piston, by which it instantaneously neutralizes the remaining depressurized air, leading to an instantaneous loosening of the paper sheets.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1985Date of Patent: April 12, 1988Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Jaroslav Jiruse, Milan Konecny, Vladimir Drlik

Patent number: 4590858Abstract: Mechanism for the control of an inker unit, particularly on an accessory device for the numbering of sheets, for additional printing, and for the perforation of sheets on a printing machine. The mechanism provides an automatic control of the inker unit as well as a manual control thereof, and provides for the disengagement of the inker unit out of the working position in such a way as to form a convenient working space in the area around the numbering roller. On an eccentric shaft, which is arranged in the side walls of the printing machine, there are attached connecting levers which are slidably arranged on a carrier shaft which is provided with carriers which are rigidly connected with guides. On the guides there is adjustably arranged an accessory device including an inker unit, there being provided openings in the connecting levers in which are arranged slide elements which are located on pivots which are fixed in the side walls of the printing machine.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 1984Date of Patent: May 27, 1986Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Vaclav Sedlak, Josef Jurny, Vaclav Luner

Patent number: 4538513Abstract: Mechanism for the control of printing pressures in a printing machine, particularly the printing pressures exerted by accessory devices such as a unit for the numbering of the printing articles. A single mechanism controls the single functions of the printing mechanism, such as the bringing into pressure engagement and the disengagement of the printing cylinders, the control of the inking unit, the control of the numbering device, and also possibly of other mechanisms. Around the circumference of a double-cam, there are arranged a plurality of two-arm levers. A first two-arm lever, which is pivotally arranged on a fixed, pivot pin is connected by means of a first pull rod with the mechanism of the inker unit. A second two-arm lever is journalled on a second fixed pivot, the second two-arm lever being connected by means of a second pull rod with a mechanism for imposing printing pressure and releasing such printing pressure.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1984Date of Patent: September 3, 1985Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Vaclav Sedlak, Jaroslav Jiruse

Patent number: 4488484Abstract: Control device for the offset cylinder of an offset printing machine, said control device selectively governing the movement of the offset cylinder into printing engagement with the plate and impression cylinders of the printing machine and the movement of the offset cylinder away from said plate and impression cylinders to relieve them of printing pressure. The control device mounts the offset cylinder sufficiently stiffly in the frame of the printing machine so as to avoid faults in the printing as, for example, the formation of strips on the printed paper sheets. The offset cylinder is rotatably mounted on an eccentric shaft which is mounted in first adjustable bearings which are arranged in eccentric bushings. On said eccentric bushings there are mounted second adjustable bearings which are arranged in bearing flanges which are adjustably fastened in the side walls of the printing machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1983Date of Patent: December 18, 1984Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny koncernovy podnikInventors: Jaroslav Jiruse, Zbynek Liska

Patent number: 4399990Abstract: The invention is a universal sucker element for a paper feeder unit which comprises a support tube on which is adjustably mounted a carrier provided with a swivably mounted body having a rotatable and movable piston. The body can be adjusted so that the piston moves obliquely to the plane of the paper. The position of the body and the piston are fixed by means of simple position locking means.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1981Date of Patent: August 23, 1983Assignee: ZVS Adamovske strojirny, Koncernovy podnikInventor: Jaroslav Jiruse

Patent number: 4387646Abstract: The invention is a device for increasing the ink supply to the inking unit of a printing machine. The device provides a means for changing an intermittently rotating doctor roller to a continuously rotating doctor roller without changing the adjustments required to operate as an intermittently rotating doctor roller thereby increasing the supply of ink to the inking unit.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1981Date of Patent: June 14, 1983Assignee: ZVS-Adamovske strojirny, koncernovy podnikInventors: Karel Hynst, Mojmir Travnicek
