  • Patent number: 11710035
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a technique to crowdsource labeling of training data for a machine learning model while maintaining the privacy of the data provided by crowdsourcing participants. Client devices can be used to generate proposed labels for a unit of data to be used in a training dataset. One or more privacy mechanisms are used to protect user data when transmitting the data to a server. The server can aggregate the proposed labels and use the most frequently proposed labels for an element as the label for the element when generating training data for the machine learning model. The machine learning model is then trained using the crowdsourced labels to improve the accuracy of the model.

  • Patent number: 11711405
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for supporting delay budget information in IMS systems. Requests for DBI are received by a first node, contained within a SIP message. This can be achieved by filling a feedback field within the signal with a delay budget indicator. The first node analyzes the received signal in order to determine whether DBI is being requested. Based on this analysis, a request signal is forwarded to a second node, which carries out resource reservation. The request signal can be based on a H.248:Add.req message. In this manner, DBI can be signaled and supported even without dedicated DBI messaging.

  • Patent number: 11709370
Abstract: In one implementation, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores program instructions computer-executable on a computer to perform operations. The operations include presenting, on a display of an electronic device, first content representing a standard view of a physical setting depicted in image data generated by an image sensor of the electronic device. While presenting the first content, an interaction with an input device of the electronic device is detected that is indicative of a request to present an enriched view of the physical setting. In accordance with detecting the interaction, second content is formed representing the enriched view of the physical setting by applying an enrichment effect that alters or supplements the image data generated by the image sensor. The second content representing the enriched view of the physical setting is presented on the display.

  • Patent number: 11709372
Abstract: Fiducial patterns that produce 2D Barker code-like diffraction patterns at a camera sensor are etched or otherwise provided on a cover glass in front of a camera. 2D Barker code kernels, when cross-correlated with the diffraction patterns captured in images by the camera, provide sharp cross-correlation peaks. Misalignment of the cover glass with respect to the camera can be derived by detecting shifts in the location of the detected peaks with respect to calibrated locations. Devices that include multiple cameras behind a cover glass with one or more fiducials on the cover glass in front of each camera are also described. The diffraction patterns caused by the fiducials at the various cameras may be analyzed to detect movement or distortion of the cover glass in multiple degrees of freedom.

  • Patent number: 11703935
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for saving power on a bus interface are described. A system includes a host, a device, and a repeater interposed between the host and the device. While the host and device are in a low-power state, the repeater monitors a first bus to determine if the device has woken up. When the repeater detects a remote wake-up event initiated by the device, the repeater generates an interrupt which is sent to the host. The host responds to the interrupt by initiating a resume wake-up event procedure that assumes the device is still asleep. In this way, the host is able to stay in the low-power state longer while also using a wake-up procedure that does not require the host to be aware of the existence of the repeater.

Abstract: In various implementations, a method of presenting video streams at a head-mountable device (HMD) includes generating a first video stream at a first frame rate for a first display portion. In some implementations, the first frame rate indicates a rate at which frames are presented by the first display portion. In various implementations, the method includes generating a second video stream at a second frame rate for a second display portion. In some implementations, the second frame rate indicates a rate at which frames are presented by the second display portion. In some implementations, the second frame rate is within a threshold relative to the first frame rate. In various implementations, the method includes temporally shifting the second video stream relative to the first video stream so that a majority of refresh times of the first display portion are different from refresh times of the second display portion.

Abstract: A beam generating device includes a semiconductor substrate, having an optical passband. A first array of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) is formed on a first face of the semiconductor substrate and are configured to emit respective laser beams through the substrate at a wavelength within the passband. A second array of microlenses is formed on a second face of the semiconductor substrate in respective alignment with the VCSELs so as to transmit the laser beams generated by the VCSELs. The VCSELs are configured to be driven to emit the laser beams in predefined groups in order to change a characteristic of the laser beams.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) to support dual-connectivity with a Master Evolved Node-B (MeNB) and a Secondary eNB (SeNB) are disclosed herein. The UE may receive downlink traffic packets from the MeNB and from the SeNB as part of a split data radio bearer (DRB). At least a portion of control functionality for the split DRB may be performed at each of the MeNB and the SeNB. The UE may receive an uplink eNB indicator for an uplink eNB to which the UE is to transmit uplink traffic packets as part of the split DRB. Based at least partly on the uplink eNB indicator, the UE may transmit uplink traffic packets to the uplink eNB as part of the split DRB. The uplink eNB may be selected from a group that includes the MeNB and the SeNB.

Abstract: An electronic device may display a first lap time representation, and may move the first lap time representation in accordance with a first amount of elapsed time. While moving the first lap time representation, the electronic device may detect a lap input. In response to the lap input, the electronic device may cease movement of the first lap time representation, display a second lap time representation, and move the second lap time representation in accordance with a second amount of elapsed time. A relative positioning of the first lap time representation and the second lap time representation may correspond to a difference between a first lap time and a second lap time. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update the timescales of lap time representation(s) in accordance with a rotational input. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update a timer duration setting in accordance with a rotational input.

Abstract: An apparatus includes an interface circuit and an encoder circuit. The interface circuit is configured to send a data packet via a plurality of segments, and to send an idle value via the plurality of segments when no data packet is available. The idle value is configured to cause a segment in a receiving apparatus to idle. The encoder circuit is configured to receive a particular data packet, and, if a portion of the particular data packet has a same value as the idle value for a subset of the plurality of segments, to replace at least a portion of the data packet with a mask value to generate a modified data packet. The mask value indicates how to recreate the particular data packet. • Patent number: 11706809
Abstract: The implementations disclosed provide apparatus, systems, and methods for channel structure construction for a two-step random access channel (RACH) using a new radio (NR) user equipment (UE) wireless device. The wireless device includes one or more computer processors configured to generate a physical RACH (PRACH) preamble mapped to a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource unit. The PRACH preamble is associated with a preamble group indicating a configuration of the PUSCH. The preamble group has a size indicated by radio resource control (RRC) signaling performed by the wireless device. A message is encoded including the PRACH preamble and a payload carried by the PUSCH. The configuration of the PUSCH includes parameters for decoding the message. The wireless device couples communicatively to a base station using the PUSCH. The message is transmitted to the base station. The base station decodes the message based on the parameters of the PUSCH configuration.
