Patent number: 9804967Abstract: A scheme referred to as a “Region-based cache restoration prefetcher” (RECAP) is employed for cache preloading on a partition or a context switch. The RECAP exploits spatial locality to provide a bandwidth-efficient prefetcher to reduce the “cold” cache effect caused by multiprogrammed virtualization. Patent number: 9805505Abstract: Objects within two-dimensional video data are modeled by three-dimensional models as a function of object type and motion through manually calibrating a two-dimensional image to the three spatial dimensions of a three-dimensional modeling cube. Calibrated three-dimensional locations of an object in motion in the two-dimensional image field of view of a video data input are determined and used to determine a heading direction of the object as a function of the camera calibration and determined movement between the determined three-dimensional locations. The two-dimensional object image is replaced in the video data input with an object-type three-dimensional polygonal model having a projected bounding box that best matches a bounding box of an image blob, the model oriented in the determined heading direction. The bounding box of the replacing model is then scaled to fit the object image blob bounding box, and rendered with extracted image features.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2016Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorproationInventors: Ankur Datta, Rogerio S. Patent number: 9805823Abstract: A memory cell readable through a bit line and addressable through a word line can be stressed by applying a stress voltage to the bit line for a stress voltage time, and addressing the memory cell through the word line for an addressing time included within the stress voltage time. The memory cell can be tested by writing a data value into the memory cell, stressing the memory cell, reading the stored value from the memory cell, and determining whether the stored value corresponds to the data value. A testable memory array can include a memory cell addressable through a word line and readable through a bit line, a precharge circuit, a stress circuit, and an array built-in self test (ABIST) circuit. The ABIST circuit can be configured to stress the memory cell by applying a stress signal to the stress circuit.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2017Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Yuen H. Patent number: 9806024Abstract: An integrated circuit device having a substrate including a dielectric layer is patterned with a set of conductive line trenches. Each conductive line trench has parallel vertical sidewalls and a horizontal bottom. A first metal fills a first portion of the set of conductive line trenches, wherein the metal fill is created by an anneal and reflow process. A liner which is an alloy of the first metal and a selected element is formed at the interfaces of the metal layer and a surface of the dielectric and is created simultaneously with the metal fill by the anneal and reflow process. A second metal layer fills a remainder portion of the set of conductive line trenches.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2017Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Daniel C. Patent number: 9803987Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention relate to prescription-based travel route recommendation. In a typical embodiment, a prescription related to a medical condition of a patient is received (e.g., electronically in a computer memory medium or the like). Among other things, the prescription typically comprises a set of criteria (e.g., route specifics such as topography/incline, mode of travel such as walking, running, cycling, etc.) for a desired travel route for the patient. Then, using global positioning satellite (GPS) technology or the like, the system will access/receive information corresponding to a geographical area associated with the patient. Using this information, a set of possible travel routes between a starting point and a destination within the geographical area will be determined. Then, by comparing the set of criteria to the information, at least one travel route will be identified from the possible travel routes for treating the medical condition.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2014Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Sarbajit K.
