  • Patent number: 10427685
Abstract: A vehicle capable of regenerative braking includes a motor that is configured to be driven with electric power. The vehicle selectively sets a drive mode of the vehicle in an accelerator-off state between an ordinary mode and a deceleration enhanced mode that decelerates the vehicle with higher deceleration force than deceleration force in the ordinary mode. The vehicle performs regenerative control of the motor in the ordinary mode or performs deceleration control of generating the deceleration force in the deceleration enhanced mode, in order to decelerate the vehicle in the set drive mode. When an accelerator stroke based on a driver's depression of an accelerator becomes higher than a cancellation threshold in the drive mode set to the deceleration enhanced mode, the cancellation threshold being determined in advance corresponding to the accelerator stroke being greater than zero, the vehicle changes the drive mode from the deceleration enhanced mode to the ordinary mode.

Abstract: A split idle station assembly, a transfer press assembly including a split idle station assembly and a method of operating an idle station for a transfer press assembly. The split idle station includes numerous workpiece mounting brackets that are insertable into corresponding parts of a multi-component movable base assembly such that upon moving from a split configuration into a support configuration, a locking mechanism cooperates with base assembly parts and mounting brackets to form a locking interference fit or engagement for each mounting bracket in order to securely support a workpiece on the brackets. Likewise, the cooperative movement of the first and second base assembly sections away from one another causes a release the interference fit from the notch to effect disengagement of the locking mechanism. The construction of the locking mechanism is such that both the engagement and disengagement may be performed as part of a one-handed operation.

  • Patent number: 10429506
Abstract: A lateral distance sensor diagnosis apparatus cooperating with a lateral distance sensor in a vehicle includes a travel enabled distance acquisition section and a diagnosis test section. The travel enabled distance acquisition section determines whether the vehicle is estimated to have contact with an object detected by the lateral distance sensor, based on a distance detected by the lateral distance sensor and a present steering angle. When determining that the vehicle is estimated to have contact with the detected object, the travel enabled distance acquisition section acquires a travel enabled distance based on a distance detected by the lateral distance sensor. The diagnosis test section determines that the lateral distance sensor fails to operate normally when a movement distance becomes greater than the travel enabled distance under state where the steering angle is an angle causing the vehicle to have contact with an object detected by the lateral distance sensor.
