  • Patent number: 10506628
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, user equipment and a base station adapted to handle channel state feed-back reports in a more flexible way. More specifically, a channel state feedback procedure is provided which utilizes the resources available for transmission of channel state feedback more efficiently. This is achieved by including uplink grant availability into the channel state feedback reporting triggers used for determining when and how to send channel state feedback from a UE, i.e. a channel state feedback reporting request may be sent by a base station in an uplink grant to a UE comprising an indication of an expected amount of information to be returned.

  • Patent number: 10477581
Abstract: Access priority for wireless devices located in an area in which radiofrequency (RF) coverage areas of a first wireless access point and a second wireless access point overlap is controlled by coordinating operation of the first wireless access point and the second wireless access point. The wireless devices access a common RF channel via a collision sense multiple access/collision avoidance mechanism. The probability of accessing the RF channel may be varied by adjusting the length of interframe spacings and the length of contention windows. The length of the interframe spacings and the length of the contention windows associated with the first access point and associated with the second access point are configured such that the probability of wireless devices associated with the first wireless access point accessing the RF channel is greater than the probability of wireless devices associated with the second wireless access point accessing the RF channel.

  • Patent number: 10367751
Abstract: One embodiment includes multiple distribution nodes sending packets of different ordered sets of packets among multiple packet switching devices arranged in a single stage topology to reach a reordering node. The reordering node receives these packets sent over the different paths and stores them in reordering storage, such as, but not limited to, in queues for each distribution node and packet switching device combination. The reordering node sends packets stored in the reordering storage from the reordering node in original orderings. In response to determining that an aggregation quantum of packets received from the multiple distribution nodes via a particular packet switching device and stored in the reordering storage is outside a range or value, packets being communicated via the particular packet switching device to the reordering node are rate limited.

  • Patent number: 10355825
Abstract: A shared signaling channel has multiple segments, and parameters for this channel may or may not be sent to users in advance. For example, the number of segments, the size and rate of each segment, and so on may be broadcast to the users via an overhead channel. The transmit power for each segment is not broadcast to the users and can range from zero to the total transmit power. A base station obtains signaling for all terminals within its coverage and maps the signaling for each terminal to at least one segment used for the terminal, which may be dynamically selected. The base station processes (e.g., jointly or individually encodes) the signaling mapped to each segment and generates output data for the segment. The output data for each segment is multiplexed onto the system resources allocated for the segment and transmitted at the selected power level.
