Abstract: A robot control system includes circuitry configured to: determine a necessity of assisting a robot to complete an automated work, based on environment information of the robot; select a remote operator from candidate remote operators based on stored operator data in response to determining that it is necessary to assist the robot to complete the automated work; transmit the environment information to the selected remote operator via a communication network; receive an operation instruction based on the environment information from the selected remote operator via the communication network; and control the robot to complete the automated work based on the operation instruction.

Abstract: A dog paw washing and rinsing device is shown and described. The dog paw washing and rinsing device includes a first chamber which includes at least one sidewall rising from a base to an open top edge. A second chamber which includes at least one sidewall rising from a base to an open top edge. The first chamber is coupled to the second chamber such that the first chamber is adjacent to the second chamber. A handle is attached to both the first chamber and the second chamber. A cleaning pad is located within the first chamber. The cleaning pad is placed at an angle as compared to the base of the first chamber.
Abstract: Device and method for laser welding around a circumference of a workpiece. A fixed, non-movable unitary optical reflector has a pair of optical reflecting surface portions on a first side surface and a second side surface, respectively, arranged at an obtuse angle relative to each other. A workpiece is fixed in an assembly having the reflector. During setup, the vertical distance is adjusted between the reflector and workpiece along an axis that is transverse to a longitudinal axis thereof without any adjustment of the reflecting surfaces. The first and second side surfaces define a curve that is transverse to the longitudinal axis. Once setup has been completed, a laser beam is directed so that it moves along the optical reflector to thereby produce a 360 degree circumferential weld around the workpiece. Another assembly is provided to change the laser beam direction multiple times to irradiate a circumference of a fixed workpiece from a fixed laser source.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods in pulsed arc welding. A robotic welding system, having a welding torch with a contact tip, is configured to perform the following method: (a) generate and output a series of a determined number of welding output pulses as a welding wire electrode is fed toward a workpiece; (b) stop generating welding output pulses while allowing the welding wire electrode to continue to be fed toward the workpiece in an attempt to electrically short to the workpiece; (c) attempt to confirm that the welding wire electrode has electrically shorted to the workpiece within a determined error time period; and (d) repeat steps (a) through (c) if electrical shorting of the welding wire electrode has been confirmed within the determined error time period, else, shut down the robotic welding system to avoid damaging the welding torch.

Abstract: An adaptive deception system is provided for defending a production network against cyber-attacks utilizing deception devices on the production network. The adaptive deception system includes a deception management system. The deception management system includes monitors for making observations regarding the deception devices including observations of an attacker's interaction with the deception device. The adaptive deception system further incudes a control system having sensors that receive the observations of the deception management system. The control system is configured to provide an adaption specification in response to the observations made. Actuators of the control system are activated in order to provide the adaption specification to the deception management system where monitors of the deception management system implement the specified adaption. Implementation of the adaption adapts the properties of the deception devices to interfere with the cyber-attacker.

Abstract: A vehicle comprising includes a traction battery and a controller. The controller, responsive to an interval exceeding a predefined threshold and a predicted net loss in energy, charges the traction battery such that the traction battery acquires energy in an amount at least equal to the predicted net loss in energy. The interval defines a confidence level that a predicted net change in energy stored by the traction battery will occur as a result of use of the vehicle between a current charge location of the vehicle and a next charge location of the vehicle. The amount is based on the interval such that the amount increases as the interval decreases.
