Abstract: Circuit modules and methods of construction thereof that contain composite meta-material dielectric bodies that have high effective values of real permittivity but which minimize reflective losses, through the use of host dielectric (organic or ceramic), materials having relative permittivities substantially less than ceramic dielectric inclusions embedded therein. The composite meta-material bodies permit reductions in physical lengths of electrically conducting elements such as antenna element(s) without adversely impacting radiation efficiency. The meta-material structure may additionally provide frequency band filtering functions that would normally be provided by other components typically found in an RF front-end.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention may be found in a method and system for performing SCSI read operations with a CRC via a TCP offload engine. Aspects of the method may comprise receiving an iSCSI read command from an initiator. Data may be fetched from a buffer based on the received iSCSI read command. The fetched data may be zero copied from the buffer to the initiator and a TCP sequence may be retransmitted to the initiator. A digest value may be calculated, which may be communicated to the initiator. An accumulated digest value stored in a temporary buffer may be utilized to calculate a final digest value, if the buffer is posted. The retransmitted TCP sequence may be processed and the fetched data may be zero copied into an iSCSI buffer, if the buffer is posted. The calculated final digest value may be communicated to the initiator.

A required transaction control operation is defined in a managing device for arranging transaction control of a management task for a managed device. At least one device management command is defined for the transaction control operation. The at least one device management command is transmitted to the managed device. A required transaction control operation is specified in the managed device on the basis of one or more received device management commands, and transaction control for a management task is carried out on the basis of the defined transaction control operation.

Abstract: A system for providing access to a data stream by a plurality of users at a same time. A data stream splitter manager listens for new client device connections. When a new client device connection is identified, the data stream splitter manager generates a pseudo-terminal for the client device and adds the client device and pseudo-terminal information to a data stream splitter table. In addition, a data stream splitter is generated to handle the data transfer. The data stream splitter searches the data stream splitter table for client devices participating in a system resource sharing session. The data stream splitter sends a data stream associated with the shared system resource to the associated client device pseudo-terminals. Also, the data stream splitter sends data from the client devices to the pseudo-terminals and then to the data stream. Consequently, client devices involved in the session has shared system resource access.

Abstract: An address management method and a device thereof are provided. The address management method includes checking by a device whether logical addresses are currently being used by external devices; and setting by the device a non-use logical address as a logical address of the device regardless of the type of the device, if the device determines that the non-use logical address exists. Therefore, a device may use all logical addresses regardless of its device type, and may also have a logical address even though all logical addresses corresponding to its device type are currently being used.

The second set of user manipulable elements are displayed within the GUI object. In one aspect, a first user input renders the first set of user manipulable elements selectable for display within the GUI object, while a second user input renders the second set of user manipulable elements unselectable. In various aspects, the GUI object may be a window, a menu bar, or an object that describes properties of a file.

Abstract: A construction is provided for uplink pilot signals in a cellular network. Three sets of pilot signals are defined, having orthogonality properties that lead to reduced inter-cell interference. In example embodiments, the network has a reuse factor of 3 for pilot signals, with sets U, V, and W of pilot signals assigned to cells in respective reuse classes. The pilots of each set form an orthogonal basis. Some pilots of each class, i.e. those which will generally be assigned to mobile stations near the cell edges, will also form an orthogonal basis with some pilots of each of the other classes.

Abstract: A hot beverage brewing apparatus. A pressurized hot liquid delivery system provides liquid under pressure within a range of acceptable brewing temperatures without any mechanical pump. Water is apportioned into sealable tank volumes, one of which is heated to boil the liquid and produce steam under pressure. The pressurized steam displaces the liquid from the tank volumes in proportion and at a temperature that is within the acceptable brewing range. The hot liquid under pressure is directed to a capsule receiving station to infuse a material in a capsule. The capsule dispenses the brewed beverage without contacting the brewing apparatus.
