Abstract: Systems and methods in which call intelligence, such as may be deployed in communication with signaling systems utilized in controlling calls and telecommunication databases, is used to analyze information about a call in order to make a determination as to the likelihood or risk that call redirecting, such as call forwarding or remote call forwarding, will be invoked with respect to a call are shown. The call intelligence, upon a determination that an unacceptable risk that call redirecting will be invoked, preferably institutes appropriate call treatment or handling procedures, such as to block the call or to allow the call while invoking additional call treatment action.

Abstract: A teleconference system that monitors the activity levels of one or more attendees of a teleconference and, based on that monitoring, provides information about attendees who are active participants and attendees who are passive listeners. The information includes evaluative feedback or a conference roster that is ordered based on the activity levels of the attendees, or both. Furthermore, the teleconference system takes into account that the potential invitees to a teleconference being scheduled can be different from one another in terms of their importance to a teleconference being scheduled, or in terms of the relevance of the teleconference to those invitees. The system is also able to consider the activity levels that are reported for a teleconference in progress when the system schedules a new teleconference.

Abstract: A variable resistance memory element and method of forming the same. The memory element includes a substrate supporting a bottom electrode having a small bottom contact area. A variable resistance material is formed over the bottom electrodes such that the variable resistance material has a surface that is in electrical communication with the bottom electrode and a top electrode is formed over the variable resistance material. The small bottom electrode contact area reduces the reset current requirement which in turn reduces the write transistor size for each bit.
Abstract: A method for pointing control of a laser communication terminal on a spacecraft may include measuring a line-of-sight (LOS) error of the laser communication terminal. The method may also include estimating a LOS error of the laser communication terminal based on measurements from a spacecraft gyro and a gimbal gyro onboard the spacecraft. The method may further include switching from a LOS error measurement feedback to a LOS error estimate feedback to control pointing of the laser communication terminal during a power fade condition.
Abstract: In a substrate processing apparatus comprising a processing unit where a specific type of processing is executed on a wafer and a transfer chamber through which a wafer is carried into/out of the processing unit, the transfer chamber includes an air intake unit through which external air is drawn into the transfer chamber, a discharge unit disposed so as to face opposite the air intake unit, through which the discharge gas in the transfer chamber is discharged and a discharge gas filtering means disposed at the discharge unit and constituted with a harmful constituent eliminating filter through which a harmful constituent contained in the discharge gas, at least, is eliminated.

Abstract: A reception device for receiving an OFDM signal whose level is maintained constant by performing an AGC control which adjusts an amplification gain by means of a discrete gain value includes an equalization section operable to execute an equalization process of detecting, respectively, distortions of a plurality of reference subcarriers regularly included in the OFDM signal on which the fast Fourier transform has been performed, and of estimating, by means of an interpolation using the detected distortions, a distortion of the OFDM signal, which distortion is caused by transmission path propagation so as to correct the estimated distortion of the OFDM signal, and the equalization section corrects, by using the AGC control signal, an estimated error of the distortion of the OFDM signal, which distortion is caused by a discrete amplification gain variation of the OFDM signal.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for reducing variability in air-fuel control due to variations in brake booster vacuum levels at an engine start. A throttle position is adjusted during an engine start based on the vacuum availability in the brake booster to control a rate of intake aircharge flow. By allowing aircharge to enter the intake manifold at a more consistent rate, air-fuel control is improved and exhaust emissions are reduced.
