  • Patent number: 11895032
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method determines when a packet is fragmented into multiple fragmented packets in a flow between a first workload and a second workload. The method switches from generating an outer source port in the outer header using layer 4 information from the inner header to using layer 3 information from the inner header. A fragmented packet is encapsulated with the outer header that includes an outer source port value that is generated using the layer 3 information. The method initiates a process to determine when to switch back to using layer 4 information from the inner header to generate the outer source port. When it is determined to switch back to using layer 4 information, the method switches back to using layer 4 information from the inner header to generate the source port in the outer header of a packet from the first workload.

  • Patent number: 11893540
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a shared collaborative channel for collaboration are provided. In particular, a computing device may receive a request, from an originating member of an organization, to create the shared collaborative channel, the request including an invitee to be added to the shared collaborative channel. In response to receipt of the request, the computing device may provision a substrate group by creating a container associate with the shared collaborative channel including a substrate database associated with the shared collaborative channel, generate an invitation including a custom link to the shared collaborative channel for the invitee, and determine whether the invitee belongs to an originating collaboration team associated with the originating member based on the substrate database. If the invitee belongs to the originating collaboration team, the computing device may further update the substrate group to add the invitee as a new member of the shared collaborative channel.

  • Patent number: 11892402
Abstract: An apparatus for the high throughput measurement of optical properties of liquid samples placed into the wells of a multiwell plate is disclosed. An optical fiber within a fiber bundle containing no corrective optics between the fiber ends and the well plate bottom illuminates the sample in order to induce fluorescence, and multiple fibers collect emission radiation and transmit it to a fluorescence detector such as a spectrometer. Other embodiments involve a light scattering illumination source with detection fibers located in either the same bundle containing the fluorescence monitoring fibers or an independent light scattering detection bundle for the measurement of static and/or dynamic light scattering. Some embodiments of the invention permit the measurement of phase analysis light scattering. Thus the measurement of multiple optical properties of a liquid sample may be made simultaneously or in succession. A method for these measurements is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11894973
Abstract: Techniques for coordinating the monitoring of output devices. In one technique, one or more messages are received, at a mediation service, over a computer network from a cloud-based management server. The one or more messages include an identity of an output device, an identity of an active mediation service for the output device, and an identity of each failover mediation service in one or more failover mediation services for the output device. Based on the one of the messages, the mediation service determines that it is a failover mediation service. Later, it is determined whether the mediation service is to be a new active mediation service for the output device. In response to an affirmative determination, the mediation service transmits, to the cloud-based management server, a notification that indicates that the mediation service is the new active mediation service. The mediation service also initiates monitoring of the output device.

  • Patent number: 11892904
Abstract: Described systems and techniques determine causal associations between events that occur within an information technology landscape. Individual situations that are likely to represent active occurrences requiring a response may be identified as causal event clusters, without requiring manual tuning to determine cluster boundaries. Consequently, it is possible to identify root causes, analyze effects, predict future events, and prevent undesired outcomes, even in complicated, dispersed, interconnected systems.

  • Patent number: 11893281
Abstract: A storage device includes a non-volatile memory (NVM) and a storage device controller. The storage device controller includes a NVM interface coupled to the NVM and one or more task queues. The storage device controller is operable to pick a task from one or more queues of the storage device. The task is parsed based upon presence of an extra header segment with an execution condition. The task without the extra header segment is sent to execution. Whether the execution condition of the extra header segment of the task is met is determined. The task with the execution condition met is sent to execution. The task with the execution condition unmet is postponed.

  • Patent number: 11892582
Abstract: A system to detect and control noise in seismic surveys is provided. The system receives, responsive to a seismic wave generated by a source, seismic data detected by a sensor component of a seismic data acquisition unit. The system generates, for windows of the seismic data, Hough tensors for seismic data transforms in multiple dimensions. The system detects, based on a comparison of an eigenvector and eigenvalue of a canonical matrix of the Hough tensors with a historical eigenvector and eigenvalue of a historical canonical matrix of historical Hough tensors of historical seismic data, a first presence of noise in the seismic data. The first presence of noise can correspond to a noisy spectra pattern in a seismic data transform of the seismic data. The system provides, responsive to detection of the first presence of noise in the seismic data, a notification to adjust a characteristic of the seismic survey.

  • Patent number: 11888717
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented methods, software, and systems for detecting outages in a multiple availability zone cloud environment. Structured data defining network connectivity statuses of network segments is received. Multiple availability zones of the first cloud platform are defined in a multiple availability zone cloud architecture. External structure data defining inbound connectivity statuses of the network segments correspondingly defined for the availability zones of the first cloud platform is iteratively collecting. The inbound connectivity statuses define availability for an entity running at an external cloud platform to the first cloud platform to connect to at least one entity running at the first cloud platform.

  • Patent number: 11888926
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that automatically scale an application between private and public cloud computing platforms, while simultaneous enforcing policies ensuring private data is persistently stored on the private cloud computing platform, but not the public cloud computing platform. A traffic manager on the public platform routes traffic to instances of a web app executing on a private platform. A traffic monitor on the private platform monitors performance criteria of the private platform, and reports traffic telemetry to the traffic manager. Based on the traffic telemetry, the traffic manager may instantiate one or more instances of the web app on the public platform to handle traffic. Private data gathered by such instantiated instance(s) is persisted to storage in the private platform, but not in the public platform.
