Abstract: A multilevel clustered data set for multidimensional vectors is created by defining a plurality of clusters based on each of the signed dimensions of the vectors, each dimension functioning as an axis. Vectors are assigned to each cluster by measuring cosine similarity between a vector and each axis. Sub-clusters are defined as ranges of cosine similarity values within a cluster, and each vector is assigned into the appropriate range based on their cosine similarity value with the axis of the cluster. Searching for a matching vector to a new vector is efficiently achieved in near-constant time by measuring cosine similarity for the new vector with each axis to identify the closest cluster, reusing the cosine similarity of the new vector and axis to determine which sub-cluster corresponds to the appropriate range of values, and then comparing each vector within the sub-cluster until a match is found or ruled out.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a connection release message, the connection release message including a resource indicator indicating that a set of resources are to be used for grant-free uplink transmissions by the UE while operating in a disconnected state. The UE may transition from a connected state to a disconnected state based at least in part on the connection release message. The UE may perform, while operating in the disconnected state, the grant-free uplink transmissions using the set of resources.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a memory controller selecting map data to be output to a host. The memory controller includes an address counter and a map data selector. The address counter counts a number of times a logical block address corresponding to a request is received based on the request received from the host and outputs an activation signal indicating that an index to which the logical block address belongs is an activation index when an activation count corresponding to the index is equal to or greater than a preset value, the activation count being generated based on a counting result. The map data selector selects map data to be output to the host based on the activation signal. The address counter decreases the activation count by a preset size when a size of the selected map data exceeds a storage capacity of the host allocated for storing map data.

Abstract: The occurrence of negative consequences (e.g., painful tetanic muscle contractions) associated with the onset response associated with kilohertz frequency alternating current (KHFAC) electrical nerve block can be reduced by fatiguing a muscle (through depletion of neurotransmitters at the neuromuscular junction, within a second) before applying KHFAC electrical nerve block to a nerve associated with the muscle. The nerve can first be stimulated with an electrical signal for a first time period to fatigue the muscle. Then, immediately following the first time period (while the muscle is fatigued), a blocking electrical signal (e.g., a kilohertz frequency alternating current waveform) can be applied to the nerve to create a localized nerve block.

Abstract: An automatic object identification scanner is equipped with recognition units that provide detection results for objects and a controller that resolves potential conflicts in the results. One form of recognition unit detects product identifiers and flags in a digital payload that is encoded redundantly across packaging or labels applied to packaging. The controller gets detection results and evaluates them relative to a state data structure, which maintains state for identifiers obtained within a time interval, such as a timeout interval or waiting period after a detection result. Identifiers are reported to a POS system depending on logic that evaluates code priority and pending waiting periods.
