    Abstract: A pouch for storing and dispensing liquid product in incremental amounts having a body portion and a pump tube portion, wherein the pouch can be held within a dispensing apparatus for squeezing the pump tube portion to release the incremental amounts. The improved pouch provides a pump tube portion made of thermoplastic polypropylene and butyl terpolymer rubber which can be readily sealed to the body without fitments or couplers. The improved pouch provides a built-in "duck bill" check valve assembly or alternatively an O-ring check valve assembly, which further reduces the number of parts required as compared to the prior art. The check valve assembly provides a socket connector for mounting a separate nozzle assembly to the check valve assembly. A break-off tab for initially opening the nozzle assembly for dispensing is provided.

The base unit is used in conjunction with the fluid dispensing unit or module which includes a bottle for storing the liquid soap and a lug extending from the bottle. The lug is adapted to be received in the lug orifice of the base unit and releasably engaged by the locking mechanism therein. A key or series of movements which are not readily obvious to a casual user of the product are required in order to remove the fluid dispensing unit from the base unit.

Since the outlet check valve of the pump is located within the liquid module, the liquid module remains pressurized even with the pump module detached. A fluid conduit within the liquid module conducts the fluid to be sprayed to the outlet valve for discharge under the influence of the compressed air.

The biasing mechanism includes non-metal, non-coiled, elongate spring structure having opposite ends, extending rearwardly from the trigger toward the hand gripping formation, having one end positioned adjacent to and acting against the trigger and having another end positioned rearwardly of the trigger adjacent the body at a location which is closer to the rear wall of the cylinder than to the trigger.

The second or bottom end of the refill cylinders telescopically and slidingly accommodate parallel piston heads which are compressibly engageable with piston rods of a reusable base. The piston heads ride sealingly along the interior walls of the inner refill cylinders and when compressed by the piston rods, they force the flowable material to flow out of the refill cylinders and through the outlet means of the dispensing head.
