  • Patent number: 9004726
Abstract: Light directing films employing at least two layers forming a continuous corrugated boundary between major surfaces of the film. Light received by a major surface of the film is internally redirected by interacting with the facets of the corrugated inter-layer boundary and is emitted from the opposing major surface towards a new propagation direction which is different from the original propagation direction by up to 90 degrees. Light directing films may have additional layers and/or layer boundaries which may provide additional bend angles to light rays or otherwise diffuse the emitted beam.

  • Patent number: 9007694
Abstract: A display apparatus including a display unit, a first reflector, a second reflector, a third reflector and a lens unit is provided. The display unit emits an image beam. The first reflector is disposed on a transmission path of the image beam. The second reflector is disposed on the transmission path of the image beam from the first reflector. The third reflector is disposed on the transmission path of the image beam from the second reflector. The lens unit is disposed on the transmission path of the image beam from the third reflector. The image beam emitted from the display unit passes through a space defined between the second reflector and the third reflector and is transmitted to the first reflector. Afterward, the image beam is sequentially reflected by the first reflector, the second reflector and the third reflector, and then passes through the lens unit.

  • Patent number: 9004776
Abstract: A rolling bearing assembly having a rotatable element that rotates with respect to a non-rotatable element around a central rotation axis is provided. The assembly includes rolling systems disposed between the rotatable and non-rotatable elements, the rolling systems having at least one rolling system providing rolling elements arranged along radial axes with respect to the rotation axis. The assembly has at least one elastic ring forming a raceway track mounted on the non-rotatable element so that the rolling elements cooperate with the elastic ring, the elastic ring in contact with the rolling elements by resilient elements mounted in holes distributed around the circumference of the non-rotatable element. The assembly has at least one blocking member mounted in the non rotatable element that protrudes in a hole of the elastic ring, the blocking member blocks the elastic ring from rotating around the central rotation axis with respect to the non-rotatable element.

  • Patent number: 9003786
Abstract: This disclosure provides for pressure limiting a hydraulic system to a desired pressure value by a particular circuit by controlling and closing the compensator when the desired pressure setting is achieved. Closing the compensator will reduced the pressure head and flow in the circuit resulting in improved efficiency. One illustrated embodiment of the disclosure provides a relief valve in the pilot signal for a compensator. The method relates to limiting the pressure on an open side of the compensator, such that the pressure on the other side closes the compensator thereby limiting the pressure and also flow in the hydraulic circuit. In other words, the pressure on the open side is limited by the relief valve. Thus, the pressure on the other side increases thereby regulating the flow and pressure through the compensator.

  • Patent number: 9009336
Abstract: A computing device determines impactful content in transmittable content. The computing device assigns the impactful content in the transmittable content to one or more impactful block units. Each impactful block unit comprises a determined numbers of characters. The computing device extracts the one or more impactful block units from the transmittable content. The computing device places the one or more impactful block units at the end of the transmittable content. The computing device transmits the transmittable content to a plurality of intended recipients. Each character, or a small packet set of sequential characters, of the determined number of characters of the one or more impactful block units is transmitted using a time delay for a particular intended recipient and a pacing method. The one or more impactful block units are to be received substantially simultaneously by the plurality of intended recipients.

  • Patent number: 9005503
Abstract: A method of making an electrical stimulation lead includes disposing conductive contacts in a spaced-apart longitudinal arrangement within a mold. A portion of a stylet tube is disposed within the mold, and the stylet tube extends through the conductive contacts. Conductive wires are positioned external to the stylet tube and each contact is coupled to at least one of the wires. A non-conductive material is molded between adjacent pairs of the contacts, around the wires, and over the stylet tube, to form a portion of the lead. This portion includes the contacts, the stylet tube, the wires, and one or more non-conductive spacers formed from the non-conductive material. Finally, the portion of the lead is removed from the mold. Another method includes placing a temporary tube around the conductive contacts and forming spacers by introducing flowable, curable, non-conductive material within the tube and between the conductive contacts.
