  • Patent number: 11620191
Abstract: A data management and storage (DMS) cluster of peer DMS nodes manages data of a compute infrastructure by generating snapshots of partitions of a fileset of the compute infrastructure and providing a passthrough for storing the snapshots in a data storage separate from the DMS cluster, such as a cloud computing system. In one approach, the DMS nodes determine partitions of a fileset using fileset metadata, generates snapshots of the partitions, and stores the snapshots in the data storage. Each DMS node may include a local storage which is used to facilitate creation of a snapshot of a partition. The snapshot may be removed from the local storage after being sent to the data storage. Rather than storing the snapshot, the DMS cluster stores fileset metadata that is referenced to retrieve the snapshot from the data storage. The snapshot is deployed to retrieve a file stored in the partition.

  • Patent number: 11619957
Abstract: A power management circuit operable to reduce energy loss is provided. The power management circuit is configured to provide a time-variant voltage(s) to a power amplifier(s) for amplifying an analog signal(s). To achieve best possible operating efficiency at the power amplifier(s), the time-variant voltage(s) needs to rise and fall frequently and quickly in accordance with power fluctuations of the analog signal(s). The power management circuit stores an electrical potential energy (e.g., capacitive energy) when the time-variant voltage(s) increases and discharges the electrical potential energy when the time-variant voltage(s) decreases. In embodiments disclosed herein, the power management circuit is configured to harvest a portion of the discharged electrical potential energy to thereby charge a battery. By harvesting the discharged electrical potential energy, it is possible to prolong battery life concurrent to supporting fast and frequent voltage changes.

  • Patent number: 11618319
Abstract: An adjustable pedal block is an apparatus that limits the maximum travel speed of a vehicle. The apparatus may also require additional tools to disable the apparatus. The apparatus includes a block body, a pedal-receiving slot, a stopper assembly, and at least one spacer. The block body engages with a pedal and connects the stopper assembly with the pedal. The pedal-receiving slot allows the pedal to traverse into the block body while preserving the structural integrity of the block body. The stopper assembly offsets the pedal from the floor of the vehicle and limits the actuation of the pedal. The at least one spacer tightens the pedal with the block body and secures the position of the pedal within the pedal-receiving slot. The pedal and the at least one spacer are secured within the block body with a left clamp assembly and a right clamp assembly of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11619596
Abstract: A system is disclosed for the examination and inspection of integrated devices such as integrated circuits using 3-D laminography. X-rays are transmitted through the integrated device, and are incident on a photoemissive structure that absorbs x-rays and emits electrons. The electrons emitted by the photoemissive structure are shaped by an electron optical system to form a magnified image of the emitted electrons on a detector. This magnified image is then recorded and processed. In some embodiments, the incidence angle of the x-rays is varied to gather multiple images that allow internal three-dimensional structures of the integrated device to be determined using computed laminography. In some embodiments, the recorded images are compared with reference data to enable inspection for manufacturing quality control.

  • Patent number: 11618709
Abstract: A method of processing an optical fiber includes drawing the optical fiber from a heated glass source, reheating the optical fiber, and cooling the optical fiber under vacuum at a cooling rate less than the cooling rate of the optical fiber in air at 25° C. and 1 atm. Cooling the optical fiber under vacuum is conducted after reheating the optical fiber. Cooling the optical fiber under vacuum reduces the rate of heat transfer from the optical fiber, which may enable further relaxation of the glass and reduction in the fictive temperature of the optical fiber. A system for processing an optical fiber includes a furnace containing a fiber preform, a first positioner, a reheating device, and a treatment device downstream of the reheating device, the treatment device operable to cool the optical fiber under vacuum to reduce the rate of heat transfer from the optical fiber.

  • Patent number: 11621603
Abstract: A protective housing is formed of a set wall panels, a base panel, and a lid panel that interlock to form the housing, but may also be taken apart and stored as a stack of two-dimensional panels when not in use. The various panels interlock via configurations internal to the housing itself, so that once an external lock is placed to secure the access door to the front wall panel, it is completely self-contained and impossible to dismantle or otherwise take apart the individual components of the housing from the outside. The rear wall and/or a side wall are formed to include exhaust locations for an included generator, thus requiring no additional ventilation system to be separately constructed and included. The walls may be formed of steel, high density plastic, fiberglass, or other suitable rugged material appropriate for use in structures exposed to the environment.

  • Patent number: 11617903
Abstract: A system and method is provided for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guided respiratory gated radiotherapy using a respiratory motion model. MRI-guided respiratory gating is performed with a continuously updated model that represents a patient's internal anatomy as a mathematical function of an external respiratory surrogate. The motion model may be built and updated by acquiring images of a tissue in a subject and measuring, using the images, a position of the tissue in the images to determine motion of the tissue. The surrogate respiratory signal is acquired contemporaneously with acquiring the images. Motion of the tissue and the surrogate respiratory signal are correlated to create the motion model for the subject and gating a radiotherapy system may then be based upon the motion model. A multi-planar model-based respiratory gating may also be performed by sequentially imaging a stack of adjacent slice positions.
