  • Patent number: 9023456
Abstract: A screen has a plurality of rods arranged longitudinally around a central axis. The rods have first and second edges (e.g., inner and outer edges). Each of the first edges defines a profile that varies in lateral distances from the central axis along a longitudinal length of the rod. For example, the first edges can have an undulating profile of crests and troughs. With the plurality of rods disposed around the central axis, the profile produces a varied surface on the screen when a plurality of wraps from one or more wires is disposed laterally around rods. These one or more wires attach to the first edges of the rods and form a plurality of gaps.

  • Patent number: 9023457
Abstract: Described herein are various methods for making textured articles, textured articles that have improved fingerprint resistance, and methods of using the textured articles. The methods generally make use of masks comprising nanostructured metal-containing features to produce textured surfaces that also comprise nanostructured features. These nanostructured features in the textured surfaces can render the surfaces hydrophobic and oleophobic, thereby beneficially providing the articles with improved fingerprint resistance relative to similar or identical articles that lack the texturing.

  • Patent number: 9017799
Abstract: The cellular cushioning article comprises a thermoformed film bonded to a second film, with the thermoformed film having thermoformed regions separated by a land area. The thermoformed film has a combination of (i) a layer containing a high melt point polymer and (ii) thermoformed regions exhibit a high average maximum birefringence. The high birefringence corresponds with high stress on the polymer chains. The combination results in cells of substantially increased burst strength. The cellular cushioning article can provide higher burst strength per mil of film thickness, or can be produced using less plastic than prior art cellular cushioning articles, while maintaining the same or comparable burst strength. Also disclosed is a process for making the cellular cushioning article.

  • Patent number: 9012009
Abstract: The present invention provides an epoxy resin adhesive composition and a perforated floor panel for a clean room including the same. The epoxy resin adhesive composition is a two-component epoxy resin adhesive composition comprising a main material including graphite having conductivity and a curing agent including a amide compound, wherein the main material and the curing agent are mixed at a weight ratio of 2:1. When this epoxy resin adhesive composition is disposed between a base panel and a resin tile constituting the perforated floor panel for a clean room, the adhesion between the base panel and the resin tile becomes high, heat is easily discharged to the outside by graphite, and the generation of static electricity can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8980416
Abstract: An architectural construct is a synthetic material that includes a matrix characterization of different crystals. An architectural construct may be comprised of, for example, graphene, graphite, or boron nitride. It may be configured as a solid mass or as parallel layers that may be as thin as a single atom. In large part, its configuration determines how it behaves under a variety of conditions. In implementations in which it is arranged as parallel layers, the architectural construct can be configured to behave in a desirable manner by selecting the layers' thicknesses, their composition, the amount of distance between them, and/or another variable.
