Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for configuring a pay statement. An input area is presented for a user to enter settings defining how the pay statement is to be configured. The settings are received from the user. A preview of the pay statement is displayed in a preview area based on the settings. The preview provides a visual representation of how the pay statement will appear for the settings. The user may modify the settings until the preview appears as desired by the user.

Abstract: Examples presented herein describe secure point of sale (POS) operations. One example is a method including receiving, at a mobile device, a communication associated with a custom tender payment for a secure transaction payment, where the mobile device includes a custom payment application configured for the secure transaction payment with a point of sale (POS) device. The method includes receiving account data associated with a user account selection for the custom tender payment for the secure transaction payment, transmitting an account signal including the account data, where when the account signal is transmitted to an integration server as part of the secure transaction payment, the account signal is not transmitted to the POS device, and receiving an authorization communication, where when the authorization communication is received by the mobile device from the integration server, the authorization communication is not communicated to the mobile device via the POS device.

Abstract: One example of computerized inventory redistribution control includes, for each location inventory record in a set of location inventory records, calculating a quantity change that will bring a current item quantity to a different item quantity for the location inventory record. Determining a cost of a minimum-cost redistribution among the physical locations to effect the quantity changes. Determining a scaling factor that maximizes total revenue when the quantity changes are scaled by the scaling factor after deducting the cost scaled by the scaling factor. Generating transfer instructions for a redistribution of the item by scaling the transfer quantities of the minimum-cost redistribution by the scaling factor. Transmitting each transfer instruction to a computing device associated with a physical location indicated in the transfer instruction.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a scalable solution is provided that identifies sourcing events that are large line item events and reroutes requests for operations related to such events to a specialized content service. The specialized content service authenticates the requests and causes data pertaining to the large line item events to be stored in and/or retrieved from a document database for LLI event processing. The result is that operations for LLI events are able to be processed much faster than in prior art solutions.

Abstract: An automated checkout system automatically establishes sessions between users and shopping carts by correlating action events with distances of the user's client device to the shopping cart. The automated checkout system determines the client device's distance from the shopping cart at timestamps when an action event occurs with respect to the shopping cart. If the distances and the action events are correlated, the system establishes a session between the user and the shopping cart. Additionally, the automated checkout system attributes target actions to recipe suggestions. The automated checkout system displays a recipe suggestion to a user on a display of a shopping cart, and identifies an item added to the shopping cart. If the added item matches an item in the set of recipes, the automated checkout system applies an attribution model that determines whether to attribute a target action that relates to the item with the recipe suggestion.

Abstract: A method is described. The method includes determining, by a central server computer using a machine learning model, aggregates of items that are likely to be ordered by end users. The method also includes initiating placement of the items in the aggregates of items in one or more locations based on locations of the end users, receiving a request for an aggregate of items, and initiate the fulfillment of the request for the aggregate of items, where the items in the aggregates of items are at the one or more locations.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for identifying contents of a shipping container that holds a set of unidentified inventory items. To characterize the identity of the unidentified inventory items, one or more scans may be performed on shipping container to obtain container information, which can include a physical attribute of the shipping container, a physical attribute of an item in the shipping, or logistics information relating to the shipping container. Using the container information and stored inventory data, an identity of the unidentified inventory can be characterized, and a confidence value may be determined.

Abstract: A system and method for a machine learning-based automated electronic time recording for personnel includes identifying, via a scene capturing device, a representation of a time recording space; identifying a body having a time recording pose within the time recording space based on an assessment of the representation of the time recording space; extracting a plurality of distinct features from the representation of the time recording space based on identifying the body having the time recording pose; executing automated user-recognition based on the extracting of the plurality of distinct features; executing automated time recording recognition based on the extracting of the plurality of distinct features; and executing automated electronic time recording, via a time recording application based on the automated user-recognition and the automated time recording recognition.

Abstract: A method and system for detecting a commercial transaction through physical interactions with products, the system comprising a frame that is placed within a product display unit. The frame includes a shelf, at least one camera, a weight sensor, and display screens. The system further comprises a computing device communicatively connected to the frame. The computing device is configured to detect physical interactions with items that are placed on the shelf based on data that is received from the at least one camera and the weight sensor. The computing device is further configured to determine a commercial transaction associated with physical interactions and transmit item and price data to the display screens based on machine learning of the physical interactions with items.

Abstract: A radar system for monitoring shelves in a retail environment, where the system monitors the occupancy of the shelves and/or the dynamics of the customers in front of the shelves. The radar is preferably a wideband 3D imaging MIMO radar.

Abstract: The present disclosure utilizes image data analysis to improve the accuracy and integrity of item characteristic information in a database. During point-of-sale (POS) transactions, a security exception may be triggered when an item's stored characteristic information, such as weight or dimensions, is found to be inaccurate or missing. By capturing images of procedures performed to resolve security exceptions, the system can analyze aspects of the individual's appearance or behavior to determine if measurement procedures are performed correctly. Measures from properly performed measurement procedures can be used to selectively update the item's characteristic information in the system, improving the accuracy and integrity the characteristic information.

Abstract: In some examples, a system receives an indication of a payment for a transaction between a first user and a second user, and initiated using a physical card or a virtual card associated with an account of the first user. A notification representative of the transaction is presented via a user interface of a user device of the first user and includes transaction details associated with the transaction, and further includes an interactive component to enable the first user to finance an amount for at least a portion of the payment in lieu of using funds from the account of the first user. Based on receiving an indication of an interaction with the interactive component, the second user is paid using funds associated with the amount financed. A series of payments are initiated at least from the account of the first user for repayment of at least the amount financed.

Abstract: A system and method for sequencing of items in a vertical stack is disclosed. The RFID based sequencing system includes first and second towers positioned about a portal, each of the first and the second towers having at least two strategically, vertically spaced antennas configured to acquire information from RFID tags attached to individual assets in a vertical stack of assets. The system further includes an RFID reader in communication with the antenna and with an asset management system that stores computer executable instructions configured to determine a vertical position of each RFID tag in the vertical stack of assets as it moves through the portal between the first and second towers.

Abstract: An apparatus for charging fees to a renter of equipment based upon wear to an item of equipment is disclosed herein. The apparatus can include a communications device proximal to the equipment that charges the renter, via a connected blockchain network, based off of the amount of vibration, pressure, flow rate, or temperature that the item of equipment is subjected to.

Abstract: A system for automatic categorization and assessment of billing narratives has a semantic engine that classifies billing entries with descriptions expressed in natural language into standardized categories of activity and task objective. The classification is by machine learning methods via training data that is maintained, updated and extended as needed. A rules engine applies rules to the categorized invoice data to analyze the data, report violations to a user/consumer of billed services and to perform related calculations.

Abstract: A method includes determining that a chat text provided in a chat session between first and second chat application instances is directed to a transaction negotiation, the chat session for facilitating communication between the chat application instances. The method includes determining, in an image associated with the transaction, first and second image elements that are associated with the transaction. Responsive to the determination that the chat text is directed to the negotiation of the transaction, the method can generate an invoice for a first transaction portion that is associated with the first element. The method can provide the invoice, via the chat session, to the first and/or chat application instance. Responsive to determining that the first transaction portion is performed, the method can determines to indicate, via the image, that the first element is unavailable for additional transactions.

Abstract: Various systems, mediums, and methods herein describe mechanisms that enable a user to send a request from her smartphone to multiple retriever devices, such that an item may be retrieved for the user. At least one of the users of the retriever devices may accept the request to retrieve the item for the requesting user. The retrieving device may send an acceptance message to the requester's smartphone to confirm that the item may be retrieved for the requesting user. In such instances, a retrieval fee may be transferred to the retrieving user's account accessible with the retriever device that accepted the request.

Abstract: A system and method to count and monitor containers at a warehouse dock is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of image capturing devices for capturing one or more images of the plurality of containers for generating a first count, a plurality of RFID readers for reading identification data of an RFID tag affixed to each of the plurality of containers for generating a second count. The system also includes a computing device configured to select the first count or the second count based on a plurality of predefined parameters, cross-check the selected count with a pre-stored count of the plurality of containers at the warehouse dock and provide a final count the containers at the warehouse dock. Manual identification and calculation of container at time of unloading the container at warehouse dock is totally eliminated.
