Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data validation are described. A user may store a set of data records on a source database and backup the set of data records at a target database through a data migration. A migration and validation server may initiate the data migration. After the data migration is complete, the migration and validation server may perform a validation process that includes comparing a calculated hash value from the source database and the target database that is based on unique identifiers and timestamps for each data record in the set of data records migrated from the source database to the target database. The migration and validation server may determine if the data migration was successful (e.g., the data was transferred correctly) if the hash value calculated for the data records at the target database equals the hash value calculated for the data records at the source database.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus of recommending information based on a fused relationship network. The method includes: determining association relationships between an any node and other nodes in the fused relationship network based on at least one of a weight, interaction information and data source information of the interaction information of an edge; and recommending information to a user represented by the any node based on the association relationships. The present disclosure further provides an apparatus of recommending information based on a fused relationship network, and an electronic device and a storage medium.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for enabling a digital search is provided. The method includes monitoring, in response to receiving authorization from a user, Web search results of a user, social media accounts, and media sources. In response data indicating an importance of world related factors with respect to the user is received. The data is analyzed with respect to results of the monitoring and an associated metadata model and modeling software application personalized for the user is generated. A search request associated with initiating a Web search for a product or service is initiated and the modeling software application is executed with respect to the metadata model and Web search. Personalized Web search results are generated and presented to the user. The personalized Web search results indicate entities associated with providing the product or service for the user via Internet based commerce Websites.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for generating an insight, comprising: receiving a request to generate an insight for a document from a user associated with the document; receiving the document; generating a tree based on the document; parsing the tree based on a set of rules to generate a set of results associated with the tree; mapping the set of results to a subset of insight elements of a set of insight elements associated with a set of trees including the tree; providing, to a first machine-learning model, the subset of insight elements; receiving, from the first machine-learning model, an insight for the document based on the subset of insight elements; and returning the insight for the document to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for filtering vehicle information. For instance, the method may include receiving a vehicle search request from a user device, the vehicle search request including conditions with corresponding weights. The method may also include, in response to receiving the vehicle search request, forming a search query based on the conditions and the weights of the vehicle search request; obtaining vehicle information; filtering the vehicle information based on the search query to obtain a result set and a partial match set; and transmitting a search result message based on the result set and the partial match set to the user device.

Abstract: A project generating method comprises extracting a keyword from a plurality of text files with a specified category, determining whether the keyword is a theme, extracting a geographical name from the text files corresponding to the theme, determining whether to keep the theme according to an internet volume of the theme, filtering a plurality of review files from a review website according to the geographical name, calculating a first ratio therein to determining whether to keep the theme, and generating a project including the geographical name and the theme serving as a recommendation row.

Abstract: A system and method for adjusting a device personality profile. The method includes: generating a first user profile; selecting a first personality profile for a device based on matching the first user profile to a cluster of user profiles, wherein the first personality profile includes a first distribution of character traits in a multidimensional space; sampling a character trait; causing the device to execute at least a physical interaction item, based on the sampled character traits; collecting a set of real-time data from the user indicative of a reaction to the executed physical interaction item; determining a second personality profile for the device including a second distribution over a plurality of second character traits, wherein the second personality profile replaces the first personality profile; and, updating the second personality to enable execution of at least one modified physical interaction item.

Abstract: An information presenting method according to the present disclosure includes: acquiring instruction information indicative of a preferred taste of a user with respect to a food product; calculating a first feature quantity indicative of a feature of a taste indicated by the instruction information; calculating, from a food product data base which stores a temporal change in a content of each of one or more components for each of one or more food products, progress information indicative of a temporal change in a second feature quantity indicative of a feature of the taste of each of the food products, extracting a food product for which a distance between the first feature quantity and the progress information is equal to or less than a reference value; and presenting the extracted food product.

Abstract: A system including a data center hosting a representational state transfer (REST) server in communication with a client network, wherein the REST server includes a GraphQL schema describing tables and fields of a communicatively coupled database. The REST server is configured to: receive a request that includes a GraphQL query; open a streaming connection to the client network; and output a beginning of a response via the streaming connection. The REST server is also configured to process the GraphQL query based on the GraphQL schema to generate a GraphQL result, and to output the GraphQL result in a body of the response via the streaming connection. The REST server is further configured to output an end of the response via the streaming connection, such that the response is correctly formatted in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).

The data lineage record may include attributes that are common among a plurality of records of the first data structure. The data lineage record may be used to map the first data structure and a second data structure of a second system. The device may populate the data lineage record with unique values for the attributes. The unique values may be used to identify the attributes of the data lineage record after the data lineage record has been included in the second data structure. The device may provide, from the first system, data included in the first data structure to the second system. The data lineage record may be included in the data provided to the second system. The device may perform an action related to the data provided to the second system.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a data index and query system that utilize a query acceleration data store. An example method includes receiving a query identifying a set of data to be processed and a manner of processing the set of data. A query processing scheme for obtaining and processing the set of data is defined. First partial results of the query stored in a data store are identified, with the first partial results corresponding to a first portion of the set of data. One or more partitions are dynamically allocated to obtain a second portion of the set of data from different data sources. The second portion of the set of data is processed to obtain second partial results. The first partial results and second partial results are combined. The query is executed based on the query processing scheme.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, a device and a computer program product for managing a storage system. A method of managing a storage system comprises: determining whether a response time of a file system operation occurring in the storage system exceeds a first predetermined threshold, wherein the storage system comprises at least a memory and a plurality of storage devices and wherein the file system operation synchronizes data stored in the memory to at least one storage device from the plurality of storage devices. The method comprises: in response to the response time exceeding the first predetermined threshold, obtaining trace information related to the file system operation. In addition, the method further comprises determining, by analyzing the trace information, one or more factors that cause timeout of the file system operation.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to providing interaction driven electronic social experience. In one example, a request is received, via the communication platform, for providing interaction driven electronic social experience to a user, with first information associated with a first content item that the user is accessing. Second information is obtained related to activity of the user with respect to the first content item. A portion of the first content item that the user is interested in is determined based on the second information. A second content item related to the portion of the first content item is obtained. The second content item is provided with third information indicating that the second content item is to be presented with respect to the portion of the first content item.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for migrating or restoring a server database such that the migrated server database can be used before data has copied to storage for the migrated server database. Data used by a server database is copied to a copy storage, which is mounted to a second server database. The second server database is brought online using the copy of data. The copy of data is copied to a second storage. The second server database is brought offline and switched to run from the second storage. The second server database is brought back online, thereby permitting use of the second server database before copying data to the second storage.

Abstract: A method performed by a computing system includes detecting that a removable data volume has been attached to the computing system, the removable data volume being identified by a unique label. The method further includes, in response to determining that a portion of the unique label matches a predefined value, invoking a catalog container based on a rule within a first rule database. The method further includes, with the catalog container, obtaining metadata stored on the removable data volume, the metadata including characteristics of a first application associated with a first piece of data that is stored on the removable data volume. The method further includes, with the catalog container, creating an application container having the first application with the characteristics. The method further includes, with the application container, processing the removable data volume.

Abstract: System and method for associating user-entered consumable item description to an entry in a consumable item database. In one embodiment, formally structured restaurant menu item is matched to a large database of food items that has been constructed via crowd-sourcing. A novel, practical, and scalable machine learning solution architecture, consisting of two major steps is utilized. First a query generation approach is applied, based on a Markov Decision Process algorithm, to reduce the time complexity of searching for matching candidates. That is then followed by a re-ranking step, using deep learning techniques, to ensure matching quality goals are met.

Abstract: Methods of the invention include representing biological data in a memory subsystem within a computer system with a data structure that is particular to a location in the memory subsystem and serializing the data structure into a stream of bytes that can be deserialized into a clone of the data structure. In a preferred genomic embodiment, the biological data comprises genomic sequences and the data structure comprises a genomic directed acyclic graph (DAG) in which objects have adjacency lists of pointers that indicate the location of any object adjacent to that object. After serialization and deserialization, the clone genomic DAG has the same structure as the original to represent the same sequences and relationships among them as the original.

Abstract: According to certain aspects, a client computing system can be configured to map stored database data into a plurality of second data units having a second level of granularity larger than first data units; store a mapping of the second data units to the first data units; monitor writes to the database data by the database application; identify of the writes changed first data units of the first data units which have changed as a result of the writes; use the mapping to identify changed second data units of the second data units which each include at least one of the changed first data units; maintain a table listing the changed second data units; and in response to instructions to create a secondary copy of the database data, consult the table to identify the changed second data units, and forward the changed second data units to secondary storage controller computer(s).

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating metadata-based statistics-oriented query processing for large datasets in an on-demand services environment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method comprises evaluating metadata associated with a query placed on behalf of a tenant in a multi-tenant environment, and computing process statistics for the query based on the metadata, where the process statistics reveal an estimation of resources needed for execution of the query within a predictable amount of time and using fewer than or equal to an allocated number of scans of a database. The method may further include associating, based on the process statistics, a set of rules and the estimated resources to process the query, and executing the query based on the set of rules and using the estimated resources such that the query is processed within the predictable amount of time and using fewer than or equal to the allocated number of scans of the database.
