Abstract: Generally L-shaped, square, rectangular, triangular, hexagonal, parallelogram and other-shaped paving stones with inter-fitting vertical spacers forming serpentine side contact surfaces that provide enhanced stone-to-stone interlocking in both water-permeable and water-impermeable paving installations.
Abstract: An interlocking traffic tile for a one piece water permeable paver, which has a plurality of connection cells and is configured to support traffic, includes a paver plate with a top side formed over a plurality of intersecting beams. The paver plate has at least one of: a plurality of grooves extending into the top side of the paver plate, a plurality of ribs extending through the top side of the paver plate, and a plurality of perforations extending from the top side of the paver plate. The paver plate has at least one integral interlocking support integrally extending from the plurality of intersecting beams for locking to a connection cell of the one piece water permeable paver. The at least one integral interlocking support has a body, which connects the paver plate to the connection cell of the one piece water permeable paver.
Abstract: A grate (111)-covered gutter (110) of a paved part of the earth's surface (100) is temporarily closed off by means of a closing organ (130), the gutter (110) being connected to a sewage pipe (120). Thus, the draining away of contaminating liquid can be prevented. The closing organ (130) includes a valve (131 fitted rotatably in the gutter (110). The valve (131) can be in a first stable position wherein the valve (131) seals. The valve can also be in a second stable position in which the valve (131) releases the gutter (110) for the discharge of liquid (rainwater) to the sewage pipe.
Abstract: A removable and serviceable paving apparatus including an access port for providing access to the interior of the slab. The access port is operable to improve access to components of the paving system prior to, during, and/or after installation. The paving apparatus further includes a removable fastener for improving removability and serviceability. The removable fastener attaches the paving apparatus to its neighboring structures to form a paving surface, may be disengaged from the neighboring structures for removal, repair and/or service of the paving apparatus, and may be re-engaged upon re-installation of the paving apparatus.
