  • Patent number: 12364639
Abstract: A system for translating a constant traction load to an object such as a medical device or a patient includes a plurality of independently rotatable, coaxially aligned spools, each housing a constant force spring fixed at respective ends to the spool and to a rigid member, a plurality of flexible biasing members each coupled on their respective first ends to a spool and at least partially wound around the spool. A plurality of connectors are connected to the respective other ends of the biasing members, which may comprise wire rope. The connectors are configured to quickly couple to and decouple, directly or indirectly, from the object to which the traction load is being delivered. A guide provides a partial path for one or more of the biasing members to the object. A selected load may be applied by coupling one or more of the reversible couplers tensioned by the constant force springs to the object, without use of gravitational loading.

  • Patent number: 12318335
Abstract: An extension foot sleeve is formed with an L-shaped foot-receiving shell having an external adapter block for arranging on an operating table and having quick-release clasps and detent tabs for securing a patient's foot. The foot sleeve makes it possible to easily clamp a patient's foot without turning it in the L-shaped foot-receiving shell and without moving cushioning material laterally, and also reliably prevents an accidental release of the quick-release clasps or undesirable contact between the operating team and same. The quick-release clasps are arranged in pairs to the right and left on side edges of the foot-receiving shell in an edge region of the L angle close to the heel and in an edge region of the upper end of the foot-receiving shell. The extension foot sleeve is associated with clamps having detent tabs on both sides, which can be inserted in parallel into the quick-release clasps.

  • Patent number: 12310692
Abstract: A drape for a piece of equipment used during a medical procedure may be formed of a flexible sheet of polymeric material. The flexible sheet can have a basin portion shape-indexed to a basin or reservoir of the piece of equipment over which the drape is intended to be draped. The flexible sheet can also have a side sheet portion connected to the basin portion. The side sheet portion can drape down the basin or reservoir of the piece of equipment over which the drape is draped. The basin portion of the flexible sheet can be collapsible. As a result, the drape can be collapsed into planar package for storage. Upon being removed from the package, the basin portion of the drape can be expanded to conform to the walls of the basin of the piece of equipment over which the drape is deployed.

  • Patent number: 12263109
Abstract: A non-water-activatable cast has one or more layers of sheet-like material which create a combined flexibility, stiffness, or rigidity so that the cast may be manually positioned in substantial contact with a lower extremity to be received within the cast. As such, the cast is not only readily deployable by a patient, but has predetermined flexibility located and selected to control ankle movement within a therapeutically appropriate range, whether used by itself or in association with a related orthosis, such as a CAM walker. In certain applications, the cast likewise offloads or otherwise redistributes force by virtue of the rigidity of the plantar impact surface on such cast and the rigidity of other cast portions.

  • Patent number: 12262766
Abstract: A protective vest device that will adequately secure an infant from the ability to self-dislodge medical life-sustaining supply lines or equipment, while also supporting proper body alignment. The protective device mitigates self-dislodgement while allowing for free movement and proper alignment of infant's arms and hands and which are allowed to touch one another, thereby not inhibiting the ability to explore and expand brain development through tactile stimulation and therefore fostering healthy neuronal pathways of the infant. The fostering healthy neuronal pathways is provided by, for example, allowing the hands to touch one another as the infant develops a sense of where it is in space and time as it continues to grow outside of the womb.
