  • Patent number: 9322613
Abstract: A system for firing shell-cased projectiles including multiple barrels and a breech assembly, which includes multiple detonators each aligned to a corresponding one of the barrels. Each detonator may include a plunger coupled to a firing pin, and a solenoid for driving the plunger and firing pin toward the corresponding barrel upon firing, and an actuator-driven mechanical safety device including a slide plate switchable between first and second lateral positions. The slide plate may include multiple entrapment pins, each corresponding to one of the detonators. When the slide plate is in the first lateral position, each of the entrapment pins are positioned so as to obstruct movement of the plunger in the corresponding detonator, thereby rendering the corresponding detonator inoperable to fire even if the corresponding solenoid is actuated. On the other hand, when the slide plate is in the second lateral position, each of the detonators is operable to fire when the corresponding solenoid is actuated.

  • Patent number: 9310148
Abstract: A magazine locking assembly is provided for preventing removal of a magazine from a firearm having a receiver, a magazine, and a bolt carrier assembly a without disassembly of the firearm. The locking assembly includes a magazine block assembly secured adjacent the magazine well of the firearm, a magazine safety pin for securing the magazine block assembly adjacent the magazine well of the firearm, a safety pin cover movably attached to the firearm adjacent the bolt carrier assembly for concealing the safety pin head of the magazine safety pin, and a cover detent pin configured to engage the safety pin cover passageway to prevent the safety pin cover from moving. When the magazine locking assembly and firearm are in an assembled configuration the safety pin cover conceals the safety pin head of the magazine safety pin and the bolt carrier assembly conceals the cover detent pin.

  • Patent number: 9222756
Abstract: A rail mounting system for a firearm includes a shroud on the fore end having a plurality of spaced rectangular pads with raised, rectangular top surfaces and opposed sloping sides forming an opposed pair of side walls that intersect with the shroud surface at an acute angle. The rail mounting system also includes a mounting rail having spaced apart relief sections conforming to the locations of the pads with recessed rectangular relief bottoms and opposed sloping sides forming an opposed pair of angled side walls at the same angle as the pad side walls. The side walls of the pads and relief sections are in contact with each other along at least some of their vertical distances. The pad top is spaced from the relief bottom and the shroud surface is spaced from the rail underside.
