  • Patent number: 12175042
Abstract: A display module is provided. The display module includes a cover plate and a reflection layer. A touch light source is disposed in an edge region of the display module. A first grating is disposed on a side of the cover plate facing toward the touch light source. The first grating is obliquely disposed to the cover plate. After light emitted from the touch light source passes through the first grating, the light enters into the cover plate and is total reflection. Obtaining information of a to-be-recognized terminal from an entire surface of the display module can be realized after the total reflection is destroyed when the to-be-recognized terminal touches a surface of the cover plate.

  • Patent number: 12093462
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to triggering virtual keyboard selections using multiple input modalities. An interface manager can display an interface, such as a virtual keyboard, to a user in an artificial reality environment. Implementations of the interface manager can track user eye gaze input and user hand input (e.g., hand or finger motion). The interface manager can resolve a character selection on the virtual keyboard according to the tracked user gaze input based on detection that the user's hand motion meets a trigger criteria. For example, the interface manager can: detect that the tracked user hand motion meets the trigger criteria at a given point in time; and resolve a selection from the virtual keyboard (e.g., selection of a displayed character) according to the tracked user gaze on the virtual keyboard at the given point in time.

  • Patent number: 12080204
Abstract: A display system varies a size of a field of view area of a display for augmented reality (AR) applications based on at least one of ambient light in the environment and content displayed at the display and varying a brightness level of the field of view area such that the brightness level within the field of view area is inversely proportional to the field of view area. Based on an amount of ambient light detected in the environment of the display system, the display system adjusts the size of the area of the field of view of the display in inverse proportion to the amount of detected ambient light. As the size of the field of view area decreases, the display system increases the brightness level of the display within the field of view such that the brightness level is approximately inversely proportional to the field of view area.
