  • Patent number: 11943622
Abstract: A unique code per pairing of each remote control to each controlled device (such as a TV or other media device) is used in infrared (IR) commands sent by the remote control for the device to detect if the remote control has been moved to a different room. The remote control supports both IR and short range wireless radio (e.g., Bluetooth®) commands. Both IR and Bluetooth® commands are sent on every key press of the remote control unit. When the IR command is received by the device, the device will check if the unique code is from a remote control unit currently paired to the device. If the unique code is not from a remote control unit currently paired to the device, the device will initiate pairing with the remote control unit and execute the command.

  • Patent number: 11936225
Abstract: The embodiments set forth a technique for coordinating notifications across computing devices placed onto a wireless charging apparatus. According to some embodiments, the technique can involve the wireless charging apparatus (1) receiving, from a first computing device, first information that includes (i) a first unique identifier (ID) associated with the first computing device, and (ii) one or more unique IDs that are each associated with a respective auxiliary computing device known to the first computing device. Subsequently, the wireless charging apparatus can receive, from a second computing device, second information that at least includes a second unique ID associated with the second computing device. Finally, the wireless charging apparatus can, in response to determining that the second unique ID is included in the one or more unique IDs, and cause both the first and second computing devices to display respective notifications in a coordinated manner.

  • Patent number: 11792554
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods include electronic devices attached to a patient or object that transmit data to other devices over a secure communication channel. The devices can track and/or monitor object(s) and/or patient(s) and transmit the tracked and/or monitored data to other electronic devices. Such data can include monitored patient physiological parameter(s) received and/or sensed by the device, for example. A master of the two devices transmits a communication signal to another device that, in response, initiates a secure wireless communication channel, causes one or more modules on the device to be powered, and, when powered, transmits the tracked and/or sensed physiological data over the secure wireless communication channel to the master device. Some example master devices transmit the communication signal with an instruction to the device to activate an onboard power source that later may be disconnected after the tracked and/or physiological data is transmitted.
