Abstract: A baseboard management controller (BMC) of a system can retrieve logged system events from a non-volatile storage of the BMC and receive a command from an administrator device for the BMC to collect system debug information. The BMC can obtain debug information from a component of the system, in response to receiving the command. The BMC can save the debug information to a debug file and send the debug file to the administrator device.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for promoting and sharing social content for view in a network. An index engine of a network device queries a client device requesting a data connection to the network device for sharable social media content. The index engine receives, in response to the query, the social media content from the client device. The network device indexes the social media content in a data store of the network device. The indexed social media content is transmittable to requesting client devices connected to the network device.

Abstract: A management apparatus includes a processor to collect resource usage quantities of one or more first site processes executed on an information processing apparatus of a first site, and the resource usage quantities of one or more second site processes executed on an information processing apparatus of a second site to which the processes of the first site are migrated, and to define, as resource control information, at least one of stopping any one or more of the second site processes and reducing resources allocated to any one or more of the second site processes corresponding to variations of the resource usage quantities of the first site processes and the second site processes, the resource usage quantities being collected by the processor.

Abstract: A mobile telephone receives, constructs and displays an image from a server over a mobile telephone network. The server determines the parameters for data transfer from the server to the mobile telephone, the capabilities of the mobile telephone, transfer task requirements, and apportions the processing between the server and the mobile telephone for each of a plurality of elements in each image, thereby to meet the task requirement, which can include being within a predetermined time for task completion, or being the fastest means for task completion. Parameters for data transfer from server to telephone include server transmission bandwidth, phone reception bandwidth, data channel bandwidth, transmission protocol, and channel accessibility. Phone capabilities include the data processing speed, the available memory, display size, and the data processing software available; Task requirements include the maximum transmission time and the minimum display resolution of the image.

Abstract: A cloud information service provides information delivery substantially in real-time to in-network users and out-of-network users. Information delivered is formatted to appear visually as a card (a “smartcard”) for both in-network and out-of-network users. Real-time communication by way of messaging is enabled with any user whether they are in-network or out-of-network. Users of the cloud information service may employ mobile devices or desktop or laptop computers. Updates in substantially real-time are provided to the smartcards as the data sources change. The data sources may include enterprise and Internet data. The information is provided in a manner to remain current for mobile users and is efficient for mobile networks that can often experience poor connectivity and limited bandwidth.

Abstract: The present invention relates to remote control technologies, and provides a method, web server and system for remote control. The method comprises: receiving remote control information sent by a remote-controlling terminal; executing a control instruction on a corresponding webpage in accordance with the remote control information, or sending information on the corresponding webpage back to the remote-controlling terminal and executing a control instruction selected or entered by a user at the remote-controlling terminal based on information on the corresponding webpage; and returning execution result to the remote-controlling terminal in a webpage format so that the remote-controlling terminal can obtain information on current execution result at a remote-controlled terminal based on the returned webpage.

Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a computer system for scheduling downloads based on metadata in a client-server topology. A server receives from a client application a request for scheduling a download of a file, wherein the request for scheduling the download of the file comprises a requirement of a time period for downloading the file. The server fetches information from one or more metadata sources. The server determines an optimal time for downloading the file, based on the requirement of the time period and information from one or more metadata sources. The server sends a response with the optimal time and information for downloading the file. The server receives from the client a request for downloading the file at the optimal time. The server serves, at the optimal time, the file to the client application.

Abstract: A system and method assists a user in achieving one or more goals of the user or the operator of a web site, application or other media by comparing a series of two or more actions of a user to those of other users, and identifying whether a primary action has been requested or performed by the user, or determining if a first piece of information has been specified by the user as being in a first set, and a second piece of information has not been specified or has been specified in a non-committal manner, and then provides relevant information to the user to instruct the user how to perform the primary action or to notify the user of the consequences of not specifying the second piece of information or specifying it in a non-committal manner.

Abstract: A media stream sharing method and terminal, where the method includes, after a first terminal receives a start instruction triggered by a user to start a service of sharing audio and video, searching for, according to the start instruction, a terminal capable of implementing sharing of a media stream with the first terminal, and displaying the found terminal or terminal list; when the first terminal determines that a terminal selected by a user according to the displayed terminal or terminal list is a second terminal, obtaining a playing attribute of the second terminal; and synchronizing, by the first terminal according to the playing attribute, a media stream currently played to the second terminal, causing the second terminal to decode and play the media stream. The method solves problems of audio and video asynchronization, operational complexity, and high costs during media stream sharing in the prior art.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system for digital process management comprises a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The memory is operable to store input data, output data, and a process model, each associated with a digital process management system. The processor is operable to determine the process model based upon user input, wherein the process model comprises a set of rules, determine the input data based upon data received from a data source, and determine whether to initiate the process model based upon the input data. The system is further operable to execute the process model by determining a state of a process, determining an activity based upon the state and the set of rules, executing the activity, determining results data, and determining the output data based upon the results data. The system is further operable to communicate the output data to the memory.

One of the methods includes receiving an original communication to be routed from a first user to a second user, wherein the original communication is received in a first format; converting, based a format conversion rule, the original communication into a second, different format; routing the original communication to the recipient in the second format; receiving a response communication related to the original communication and to be routed from the second user to the first user; and based on determining that the response communication is responsive to the original communication, converting the response communication into the first format prior to routing the communication to the first user.

A result of the evaluation to the file 5 is added to create a sending file. The sending file 5 is attached and sent back by the e-mail sending module 17.

Abstract: The system and routine for data caching leverages the properties of Network-Attached Non-Volatile Memories (NANVMs) to provide virtualized secure node-local storage services to the network users with reduced data movement across the NANVMs. The caching routine reserves storage resources (storage partitions) on NANVM devices, migrates data required for the target application execution to the allocated storage partitions, and directs the network clients to dynamically “mount” to the storage partitions based on application data requirements. Only those clients and applications that present valid credentials and satisfactory computing capabilities can access the data in the specific storage partitions. Several clients can have an access to the same storage partitions without duplication or replicating the data. A Global Data Indexing sub-system supports the efficient operation of the subject system.

Abstract: Disclosed are an open type POI service system using an SNS method and a method thereof. The open type POI system includes an SNS media studio server which opens a POI to a user and registers an interest location designated by a user as an open type POI. Therefore, the SNS media studio server includes a database which stores an open type POI related to a user, and supplies the open type POI to another user who is related to the user by connection of the open type POI and SNS.

Abstract: Exemplary methods for distributed multi-component service placement in a resource pool include utilizing a hierarchy of agents associated with computing resources of a cloud architecture. A root agent in the hierarchy can receive service requests specifying resource requirements and optionally location or affinity constraints, transform these into service request descriptions, and pass the service request descriptions down through the hierarchy to arrive at leaf nodes. The leaf nodes can each, perhaps in parallel, generate solution encodings indicating possible placements of some or all of the components of the service request that one or more computing devices associated with each agent can locally provide while still satisfying the resource requirements. The generated solution encodings can be passed back up and be consolidated as they flow through the hierarchy, allowing the root agent to quickly and accurately determine whether the service request may be fulfilled, and optionally place the service.

Abstract: A cloud service stores and aggregates content that is obtained from different content sources using different protocols. For example, the content may include electronic messages, calendar information, contacts, social network content, feed data, search results, and the like. The cloud service aggregates content for each user based on the user's configuration settings. The cloud service may perform processing on the aggregated content before it is delivered and displayed to the user on the client device. For example, one or more views may be generated and stored by the cloud service before the view is requested from the client. Changes made to the aggregated content on the client may be synchronized with the content source. Searches may be made across all or a portion of the different content sources that are aggregated for a user.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates content distribution. During operation, the system obtains, at a node in a content delivery network, configuration information for a test of broadcast readiness in the content delivery network from a configuration server in the distributed content delivery network. Next, the system uses the configuration information to configure the node to participate in the test, wherein the test includes using a media delivery application on the node to play content received from the content delivery network without requiring user input to perform the test. During the test, the system uses the node to periodically provide status information associated with the node to a collection server in the content delivery network.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a plurality of servers by a monitoring server in a computer network. A list of servers and a plurality of services to monitor in the computer network is generated at the monitoring server. A status query is transmitted sequentially by the monitoring server to each of the plurality of servers, the status query including the plurality of services to monitor at each server. A status message report is received from each of the plurality of servers in response to each status query. An event is reported in an event log for each server that has an abnormal service status. The transmission of the status query to each server is performed by the monitoring server at a specified service time interval.

Abstract: A device may feature a set of containers from different domains, where the containers are restricted from interoperation due to domain restrictions. The device may provide a communication interface that enables simple communication between containers, such as string-based message-passing. While adequate for some uses, it may be difficult to utilize the communication interface in an ad-hoc manner for more complex uses, such as enabling a first container to observe state changes in an object within a second container. Instead, the device may receive a request by an observing container to create an observed container that is associated with a different domain, and to observe a data object within the observed container. Accordingly, the device may monitor the data object on behalf of the observing domain, and upon detecting an update, may transmit a notification of the update to the observing domain through the communication interface between the domain-restricted containers.
