The tooth covering portions cover the teeth. In a facing portion of one of the insulators facing the stator core, a peripheral portion projects more than a center portion. In a facing portion of the other of the insulators facing the stator core, a center portion projects more than a peripheral portion.

In addition, the connecting ring may include a cylindrical protrusion having an opening in communication with the hole. Additionally, the connecting ring may include bends for raising a first portion of the connecting ring including the terminal section in the insertion direction relative to a second portion of the connecting ring. An insulating member may cover the second portion of the connecting ring.

The baffle defines at least one impact surface within the passageway for changing the direction of air flow between the inlet and the outlet and the baffle further defines a drain port wherein the passageway directs moisture collecting on the impact surface to the drain port where it is discharged from the baffle. The electric motor may be an axial flow air-cooled alternator having a fan for generating the air flow.

The moving friction plates are connected to reset devices used for separating the moving friction plates from the fixed friction plates.
