  • Patent number: 12094667
Abstract: A digital signaling device provides visual, audible, and haptic indicators when the digital signaling device changes state. The digital signaling device has a same operational feel and response as a classic electro-mechanical decorator-style light switch, including maintaining switch paddle position, using attractive magnetic latching in combination with a spring contact. The switch paddle can be pressed into one of two positions, each position representing a different state of the digital signaling device. The switch paddle provides a visual indicator of the digital signaling device state in that the switch paddle is maintained in one of the two positions. The attractive magnetic latching provides both an audible and haptic indicator when the magnet pairs are engaged, which corresponds to a change of state of the digital signaling device. The spring contact provides a digital switching mechanism for changing the state of the digital signaling device.

  • Patent number: 12080492
Abstract: A keyswitch structure includes a lift mechanism and a keycap. Two supports of the lift mechanism support the keycap. There can be a spring structure connecting the two supports for driving the two supports to lift the keycap. The lift mechanism defines a central space extending through the whole lift mechanism in a vertical direction. The spring structure does not enter the central space. The two supports abut against and constrain each other through corresponding structures, to mutually rotate with respect to a rotation axis. The keyswitch structure can include a switch. The switch includes an intermediate support, detachably abutting downward against the lift mechanism or the keycap, and a resilient part, detachably abutting downward against the intermediate support. In the process of pressing the keycap, the intermediate support is separated from the lift mechanism or the keycap, so that the contact force of the switch can be maintained constant.

  • Patent number: 12051554
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to microelectromechanical system (MEMS) switches with multiple pull-down electrodes between terminal electrodes to limit off-state capacitance. In exemplary aspects disclosed herein, a plurality of pull-down electrodes are positioned between the input terminal electrode and the output terminal electrode. The plurality of pull-down electrodes are offset from each other to limit off-state capacitance between the input terminal electrode and the output terminal electrode. The separation between the pull-down electrodes disrupts the off-state capacitive path between the input terminal electrode and the output terminal electrode, thereby further insulating the contacts from each other. Limiting off-state capacitance reduces on-state electrical loss and increases off-state electrical isolation for improved performance.
