Abstract: A load bearing truss constructed of composite materials. The truss is made of three or more longitudinal load bearing composite members. Bracing for the truss is a combination of perpendicular and diagonal composite cross-members or all diagonal composite cross-members. The longitudinal and cross-members of the truss are joined together by a sandwich constructed joint which encapsulates the joint area as well as spacers, thereby tying all members together.

Abstract: The deflection of a flexible linear body disposed between first and second members is relatively changed in position for easy restriction. A guide is integrally formed of soft synthetic resin and is mounted between an inner tube and an outer tube of a front forked portion for holding an intermediate portion of a brake hose connected to a brake caliper for braking a front wheel of a motorcycle. The guide includes a pair of ring-like mounting portions fixed to the inner tube and the outer tube, a band-like bridging portion for connecting both the mounting portions to each other, a plurality of holding portions provided on the bridging portion for holding the brake hose. The bridging portion has a flat rectangular sectional shape and is mounted to be curved in the X-direction. The bridging portion is easy to be deflected in the X'-direction and is difficult to be deflected in the Y-Y directions so that the brake hose does not interfere with a boot and the front fender.

Abstract: A skylounge is provided for mounting over an opening cut into a roof of a house. The skylounge includes a base member, a clear hemispheric dome arranged on the base member, and means for fastening the base member and the clear hemispheric dome together. The base member has mounting brackets for firmly attaching the skylounge to the roof of the house, has an entry opening for permitting users to enter the skylounge through the opening cut in the roof of the house, and has a wraparound seating area for seating 6 adult users. The clear hemispheric dome is arranged on the base member for providing users seated on the wraparound seating area a panoramic view from the roof of the house for viewing the surrounding country side, as well as sunsets, sunrises, snowstorms and stars at night.

Abstract: A panel edge-finishing accessory which is useful as an expansion joint between two drywall panels comprises three integrally joined, elongate strips, namely two relatively rigid, lateral strips and a relatively pliable, middle strip, which may be respectively coextruded from polyvinyl chloride having different durometer hardnesses. Each lateral strip has a broad portion with a distal edge and a proximal edge, a rib with a distal edge and a proximal edge merging with the proximal edge of such lateral strip, and a tear-away flange joined integrally to the distal edge of the rib at a preferentially weakened juncture. The middle strip has a zig-zag profile and is joined integrally at each of its opposite edges to the distal edge of the rib of one of the lateral strips. The ribs extend so as to be generally normal to the lateral strips and are used for guiding a tool used to apply drywall-finishing material over the lateral strips.
