Abstract: In order to allow even a user terminal not supporting UL simultaneous communication to communicate appropriately in a future radio communication system, the present invention provides a user terminal communicating with a plurality of communication systems, having a reception section that receives a downlink (DL) signal transmitted from each of the communication system; a transmission section that transmits an uplink (UL) signal to each of the communication system; and a control section that controls reception of the DL signal and transmission of the UL signal. The control section controls not to transmit UL signals simultaneously to different communication systems.
Abstract: Described is a method and system for latency measurement in communication systems. The method comprises: determining, by a first communication device, a power-management state of a second communication device; transmitting, by the first communication device, one or more packets to the second communication device over a communication link, the one or more packets to be received by the second communication device while in the power-management state; receiving, from the second communication device over the communication link, one or more response packets in response to the one or more packets; and determining a latency of the communication link when the second communication device is in the power-management state based on the one or more packets and the one or more response packets.

Abstract: A wireless base station serves a wireless network sector over a frequency channel. The wireless base station shares the frequency channel with an Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC) service in a subsector of the wireless network sector. A Fifth Generation (5G) radio beamforms 5G signals over the frequency channel to User Equipment (UEs) that are located in the wireless network sector. The beamforming attenuates the 5G signals below a signal threshold before the 5G signals enter the subsector. A 5G baseband unit determines when UEs enter the subsector. The 5G baseband unit detaches UEs that enter the subsector from the frequency channel.
Abstract: A client device includes a processor and an antenna. The client device obtains an announcement that specifies a winning client of a channel contention competition; identifies a group association of the client device using an identity of the winning client; transmits a preamble modulated by an entry of a preamble interference nullification matrix, the entry is based on the group association; and transmits, after transmitting the preamble, a data transmission. The preamble is transmitted at the same time as a second preamble is transmitted by a second client device.

Abstract: Techniques and examples of flexible signaling of capability of use equipment (UE) processing time in wireless communications are described. Accordingly, a UE establishes wireless communication with a network node of a wireless network. The UE also determines whether the UE is capable of operating in a second mode in addition to a first mode. The UE then transmits to the network node a report indicating capability of the UE to operate in the second mode and a condition with respect to a throughput associated with operating in the second mode. The UE performs a task in less time in the second mode than in the first mode.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for configuring a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) mode in a base station, a communication method for use by user terminal supporting communication capabilities of the first type, a base station and user terminal. This user terminal includes a transmission section that transmits information about a capability for supporting HARQ bundling, to a radio base station, and the transmission section transmits bundled HARQ-ACKs to the radio base station based on the capability.
Abstract: There is provided a method for coverage enhancement service mode selection. The method is performed by a wireless device. The method comprises obtaining an indication to switch between a first coverage enhancement service mode and a second coverage enhancement service mode. The method comprises selectively switching between the first coverage enhancement service mode and the second coverage enhancement service mode according to the indication. There is also provided a wireless device configured to perform such a method. There is also performed a method for coverage enhancement service mode selection as performed by a network node and a network configured to perform such a method.
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing telephone solicitation prevention using enhanced voice over Internet protocol (“VoIP”) functionalities in conjunction with STIR/SHAKEN protocols. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a call setup message or a call request from a calling party, a call server might send a verification request to a secure telephone identity (“STI”) verification server (“VS”). The STI-VS might verify and send the call setup message to a no solicitation application server, which might instruct a media server to connect to a first gateway device and to play a no solicitation message requesting a response from the calling party, and which might verify whether the response is an appropriate response. If so, a call is established. If not, the call might be disconnected and/or forwarded to a voicemail server to play a voicemail message to the calling party in accordance with preferences of the called party.
Abstract: A method, system and computer program for transmitting at least two payloads in a downstream traffic phase of a time-division duplex (TDD) cycle with a single preamble from a headend followed by concatenated payloads without intervening preambles, whereby the payloads are ranked by increasing modulation profiles. The preamble, and concatenated and ordered set of payloads are then transmitted to two or more predetermined customer premise equipments (CPEs).

Abstract: Provided is a terminal device with which deterioration in hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission performance can be inhibited by continuing a downlink (DL) HARQ process for DL data before and after changing the uplink link-DL configuration. In this device, a decoder stores, in a retransmission buffer, DL data transmitted from a base station, and decodes the DL data, and a wireless transmitter transmits a response signal generated using a DL-data-error detection result. A soft buffer is partitioned into a plurality of regions for each retransmission process on the basis of the highest values among retransmission process numbers respectively stated in a plurality of configuration patterns which can be set in the terminal.
Abstract: Technology for gateway selection in a mesh network is described. In one embodiment, upon restart of a root node in the mesh network, the root node generates first Root Node Announcement (RANN) information and sends one or more announcement messages comprising the first RANN information to other mesh nodes in the mesh network. The RANN information comprises information about a type of backhaul connection between the root node and one or more network resources external to the mesh network and information about a cost metric defining a cost associated with utilizing the root node computing device to access the one or more network resources for each of one or more mesh nodes in the mesh network since those one or more mesh nodes do not have direct access to the one or more network resources.
Abstract: A lack of a valid dedicated uplink control channel resource configuration can be ascertained by a device. A number of symbols for an uplink control channel can be determined in response to ascertaining a lack of a valid dedicated uplink control channel resource configuration. A downlink message can be received. The downlink message can be based on a device identity of the device. A HARQ-ACK feedback can be transmitted on the uplink control channel using the determined number of symbols in response to receiving the downlink message.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for reporting a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). A user equipment (UE) includes a processor configured to generate a report for a PMI. The report includes (i) a wideband amplitude coefficient indicator that is common for a plurality of subbands configured for reporting and (ii) a subband amplitude coefficient indicator and a subband phase coefficient indicator for each of the subbands.
