  • Patent number: 9073137
Abstract: A system and method of welding is provided where welding power supply has a first output electrically coupled to a welding electrode and a second output electrically coupled to a switching mechanism. The welding power supply provides a welding current through either of the first and second outputs to weld at least one work piece. The switching mechanism has at least a first and second switch position, where the first switch position is coupled to a first position on the at least one work piece and the second switch position is coupled to a second position on the at least one work piece, which is remote from the first position. During welding the switching mechanism switches between the first and second switch positions to change a current path for the welding current during through the at least one work piece.

  • Patent number: 9050677
Abstract: An arc welding method comprising the steps of accelerating a feeding speed of a welding wire to cause shorting between the welding wire and a base metal when a welding end signal is input during a period of arcing, retracting the welding wire backward thereafter until a wire retracting speed reaches a predetermined rate, controlling the wire retracting speed constant at this speed for a predetermined duration of time, then stopping the backward retraction of the welding wire, and then terminating a welding power output after supplying a predetermined amount of welding current for a predetermined duration of time starting from a time when opening of the shorting occurs during the backward retraction of the welding wire.

  • Patent number: 9016190
Abstract: A fryer for deep frying a turkey has an outer cooking pot for containing hot oil. A splatter sleeve is telescopically slidable into the pot, the sleeve having a surrounding side wall, an open top surrounded by a top sleeve rim and an open bottom surrounded by a bottom sleeve rim. A lid is sealingly seatable upon the top sleeve rim and has a lid hole. A lid latch latches the lid to the top sleeve rim. A turkey support has a turkey support base, extends upwardly from the base to a handle top end and is insertable through the hole in the lid. When these components and a turkey are assembled, suspended from the handle and lowered into hot cooking oil, the sleeve is sufficiently long that it enters the oil before the turkey thereby assuring a complete splatter barrier.
