In some embodiments in response receiving the input corresponding to the request to search content available on the electronic device, an electronic device displays, via a display device, one or more representations of one or more search results including a first representation of a first search result, wherein the first search result is a first content item that is associated with a first transcript of dialog included in the first content item, and the first search result is included in the one or more search results as a result of a relationship between the one or more search terms and the first transcript for the first content item.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system and a method for performing operations comprising: receiving, by a client device implementing a messaging application, a request to access a display of a plurality of augmented reality experiences; retrieving a plurality of identifiers of each of the plurality of augmented reality experiences; determining that a given augmented reality experience of the plurality of augmented reality experiences is associated with an access restriction; modifying a given identifier of the plurality of identifiers associated with the given augmented reality experience in response to determining that the given augmented reality experience is associated with the access restriction; and generating, for display on the client device, a graphical user interface that includes the plurality of identifiers comprising the modified given identifier.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to various data processing terminals capable of operating in different modes each of which is granted with different authorities to access hardware or software elements of the terminals. More particularly, a terminal includes a lock system operating in a lock mode and a main system operating in an unlock mode, and erases an entire or a selected portion of results obtained by running operations in the lock mode, when a terminal switches from a lock mode to an unlock mode with greater access authority. Because potentially malicious computer codes which may be impregnated into such results are erased before switching to an unlock mode, the terminal enhances an integrity and a security of a terminal, and improves privacy of a user by preventing loss or unintended disclosure of private data stored in a terminal.

Abstract: Systems and methods for recording a GUI element (e.g., a window) on a user device through a single drag-to-record action are disclosed. The method includes rendering a drag-to-record element on a display of the user device and further receiving and storing one or more parameters of the GUI element, where the threshold edges of the GUI element are determined based on the one or more parameters of the GUI element. The method further includes receiving a drop position of the drag-to-record element that is above the GUI element, thus bounded by one or more threshold edges of the GUI element. The method further includes identifying the GUI element as a recording target based on the drop position of the drag-to-record element, and starting the recording of the GUI element.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to systems, methods, apparatuses, and techniques that utilize enhanced gesture-based input mechanisms to facilitate rapid creation and editing of digital music compositions. These technologies can be specially designed and configured to optimize creation, editing, and/or sharing of digital music compositions on mobile electronic devices that include capacitive sensing mechanisms. The technologies include multi-gesture functionalities that enable users to view and access various notation customization features in a compact space of a mobile device display. Additionally, the technologies encompass improved data storage models that enable underlying notation data to be accessed in multiple operational modes, and permit frequencies or pitches of notations to be accurately generated and incorporated into audio signals.

Abstract: The automated social networking graph mining and visualization technique described herein mines social connections and allows creation of a social networking graph from general (not necessarily social-application specific) Web pages. The technique uses the distances between a person's/entity's name and related people's/entities names on one or more Web pages to determine connections between people/entities and the strengths of the connections. In one embodiment, the technique lays out these connections, and then clusters them, in a 2-D layout of a social networking graph that represents the Web connection strengths among the related people's or entities' names, by using a force-directed model.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for operating an electronic checklist for an aircraft. The system includes an aviation sub-system that is part of an aircraft, where the aviation subsystem is an item on the electronic checklist. Also included is a sensor that monitors the status of the aviation sub-system with reference to the electronic checklist. An onboard computer system monitors the electronic checklist and determines the status of the aviation sub-system as required by the electronic checklist along with the operational condition of the sensor that monitors the status of aviation sub-system. Finally, a graphical display shows the status of the aviation sub-system and the operational condition of the sensor.

Through selective, intelligent fetching and local cache management of sparse portions of the hierarchical dataset, the browser provides consistent and predictable response times for displaying a randomly-selected node in the context of proximate nodes in the hierarchy.

Abstract: A design application is configured to visualize and explore large-scale generative design datasets. The design explorer includes a graphical user interface (GUI) engine that generates a design explorer, a composite explorer, and a tradeoff explorer. The design explorer displays a visualization of a multitude of design options included in a design space. The design explorer allows a user to filter the design space based on input parameters that influence a generative design process as well as various design characteristics associated with the different design options. The composite explorer displays a fully interactive composite of multiple different design options. The composite explorer exposes various tools that allow the user to filter the design space via interactions with the composite. The tradeoff explorer displays a tradeoff space based on different rankings of design options. The different rankings potentially correspond to competing design characteristics specified by different designers.
