  • Patent number: 11133546
Abstract: An electronic device and battery included therein are disclosed. The device includes a battery which itself comprises a jelly-roll structure having a rolled stack of a cathode, a separator, and an anode; an outer cover layer enclosing surfaces of the jelly-roll; and a pouch sealing the jelly-roll and the outer cover layer. The jelly-roll includes a first surface, a second surface disposed in a opposite direction, a third surface corresponding to one side of the rolled stack and connecting the first surface and the second surface, and a fourth surface corresponding to other side of the rolled stack, connecting the first surface and the second surface, and disposed in a direction opposite to the third surface. The outer cover layer includes a first portion, a second portion, a third portion, and a fourth portion bonded to first, second, third and fourth surfaces, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10921382
Abstract: A management server obtains information on a use history of a battery assembly used in a vehicle. The management server calculates an amount of material deterioration Dm and an amount of high-rate deterioration Dh by using the information on the use history of the battery assembly. When a ratio Dm/Dh is higher than a threshold value Th, the management server generates first assembly information indicating selection of a cell highly resistant against material deterioration and a spacer highly resistant against material deterioration (a cell A and a spacer A). When the ratio Dm/Dh is lower than the threshold value Th, the management server generates second assembly information indicating selection of a cell highly resistant against high-rate deterioration and a spacer highly resistant against high-rate deterioration (a cell B and a spacer B).

  • Patent number: 10833310
Abstract: A secondary battery includes: a battery element; a casing which accommodates the battery element; a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal provided to the casing and electrically connected to the battery element; and a cut-off portion which switches from a grounded state in which the casing and one terminal of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal have an identical potential, to a cut-off state in which the casing and the one terminal are electrically cut off. The one terminal has a facing portion which faces the casing, and the cut-off portion is arranged between the facing portion and the casing. When the casing is externally short-circuited, the cut-off portion switches from the grounded state to the cut-off state by being deformed by heat generated as a short-circuit current flows.
