Abstract: This disclosure describes a method of payment for parking of a vehicle including determining the location of the vehicle with a wireless communication device. Determining the location includes using a satellite radio navigation system such as GPS with the facility for user provided corrections and avoiding the use of zone IDs. The method also includes automatically extending an initiated parking session with subsequent prepaid time durations until certain predetermined conditions are met. The method includes automatically determining the end of an initiated parking session based on detecting movement of the vehicle away from a parking spot provided the Handset containing the parking payment App has sensed a Bluetooth tag in the vehicle or paired with the built-in Bluetooth system of the vehicle.
Abstract: The methods describe the use of Handset Apps in garages currently using paper tickets or ID tokens in ways that minimize disruption to the existing infrastructure. The techniques include automatic recognition of garage/gate ID, automatic identification of paper ticket ID without optical scanning, and direct payment in manually operated garages, including those using valet parking.

Abstract: A client-server system and method for calculating whether time-crucial shipment is located according to expectation comprising a device and a remote special purpose computer, the device comprising a non-lithium battery; a Wi-Fi receiver; a GSM module; an accelerometer; a Wi-Fi antenna; a GSM antenna; and a microcontroller programmed to store identification data of each Wi-Fi access point within range and time each Wi-Fi access point was accessed, to automatically turn off the GSM module when aircraft engine vibration is detected; and to automatically transmit via GSM protocol the Wi-Fi access point data when aircraft engine vibration is no longer detected. The remote special purpose computer uses a flight plans database and a Wi-Fi access point database to calculate location of the device based on the Wi-Fi access point data received via GSM and compare the calculated location to an expected location based on a flight plan.

Abstract: Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided. In one embodiment, a connection between an electronic door hanger and a customer computing entity can be established at a customer's location. With a connection established, information about an attempted (e.g., successful/unsuccessful) pick-up or delivery can be automatically provided to the customer computing entity.
