Abstract: A stronger foldable bed having a frame and a foldably soft cover attached thereto. The frame has two pairs of side bars each pivotally connected to a central link, a tilt leg pivotally connected to a free end of each side bar, three pairs of scissoring end or middle bars linking the two pairs of side bars, a pair of middle leg each containing a telescoping leg, a reinforcing bar each pivotally connected to one side bar and a sleeve covering on each tilt leg, and a journey limit formed on each tilt leg. The foldable bed is longitudinal stable, simple and strong, without sacrificing the easiness of operation of folding and expanding.

Abstract: An adjustable firmness mattress assembly is disclosed which comprises a duvet, a first section of foam material having a top surface and a bottom surface with the surfaces capable of supporting a user, a second section of foam material having a top surface and a bottom surface with the surfaces capable of supporting a user, and a cover for enclosing the first and second sections with the cover having a top surface and the duvet adapted for being positioned on the top surface of the cover.

Abstract: A head and face covering apparatus includes a flexible housing that defines a pillow case and is U-shaped. The housing includes a central portion and a pair of arms extending away from the central portion. The housing has an elongated opening therein. A pillow is removably extendable into the housing through the opening. A flexible head covering is attached to the housing and extends upwardly therefrom. The head covering includes a rear wall, a pair of lateral walls, and a top wall. The top and lateral walls form a continuous front edge defining an opening extending into a front side of the head covering. The rear and lateral walls are attached to the housing. The head covering has an internal volume greater than 1.0 cubic feet to allow a person's face to be encapsulated by the head covering when the person abuts their head against the rear wall.

Abstract: Provided is a mat supplemental to an exercise mat including a cushion portion for assisting in execution and/or maintaining of a select body position (e.g., a stretch, yoga pose, or Pilates pose). The supplemental mat may include a strap detachable from the cushion portion. The strap may further assist in the execution and/or maintaining of a select body position (e.g., a stretch, yoga pose, or Pilates pose). The strap may further serve to secure the cushion portion to the traditional exercise mat, thereby causing the supplemental mat to also serve as a carrier for the traditional exercise mat.

Abstract: A breathable mattress including a plurality of layers, where one of the mattress layers is further comprised of a plurality of sections and the sections are comprised of different types of materials, which have varying firmnesses and feel, and where each of the layers is comprised of material that is perforated or of an open-cell structure to allow for air circulation. The mattress is supported by an air filtration foundation capable of creating an air flow within the mattress.

Abstract: Anti-pinch point device for imaging platforms are disclosed. The stationary imaging platform includes a slidable cradle and fixed shroud adjacent both sides of the slidable cradle. An inventive overlay is configured for mounting on a slidable cradle. The inventive overlay moves with the slidable cradle. Elongated perimeter regions of the inventive overlay have elongated ridges formed on the underside thereof adjacent the outer edges of the elongated perimeter regions. The elongated ridges serve to prevent objects from becoming pinched between the inventive overlay and the fixed shroud.

Abstract: A support frame assembly for attachment to a support mast of a transport apparatus may include a support frame with a pair of downwardly directed mounting posts. Support arms may be pivotally attached to an end of each mounting post. The support arms may each comprise a back support and an open position and a closed position. When the support arms are in the closed positioned the back supports may be substantially horizontally oriented defining a support area between the support arms, the back supports and the support frame. When the support arms are in the open position the back supports may be substantially vertically oriented and the support area is open opposite the support frame.

Abstract: A inflatable product for an inflatable body includes a casing with an airway adapted to communicate with an interior of the inflatable body, and a resilient element movably positioned inside the casing to define with the easing a space therebetween. An on/off switch is adapted to connect to an air pump. A driving element is movably positioned inside the casing to be in response to the movement of the resilient element so as to selectively activate the on/off switch to activate the air pump. A recoil element is positioned around the driving element and has a distal end which is abutted against the resilient element. The spring is compressed/decompressed when the resilient element moves in response to pressure inside the inflatable body so that activation/deactivation of the on/off switch is controlled via the movement of the resilient element as well as the compression of the spring.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a waterbed with at least one water-filled mattress, which forms a substantially flat bed surface when in an unloaded state and which is held inside a frame consisting of beams of foamed plastics. On the inside of the waterbed, at least one beam is convexly curved, proceeding upward in an arc from a carrier plate and continuing as a flat surface at the top, underneath the surface of the bed. The mattress, on the side facing the beam, has a concave recess conforming to the arc of the beam and has an extension of rectangular cross section, which covers the top surface of the beam, the extension preferably extending all the way to, and being flush with, the top outside edge of the beam.

Abstract: A wheeled attachment system for efficiently attaching to a spine board to allow the spine board to be easily maneuvered over various surfaces (e.g. flat surfaces, stairs, etc.). The wheeled attachment system generally includes a front support, a pair of wheel assemblies extending from opposing sides of the front support, a pair of side supports extending from the front support adjacent the pair of wheel assemblies and at least one strap extending from the pair of side supports. The side supports and the front support define a cavity adapted to receive an end of a spine board, wherein the strap is adapted to secure the pair of wheel assemblies about the spine board. A pair of extension members interconnect the pair of wheel assemblies with the front support so that a center rotational axis of the pair of wheel assemblies is vertically offset with the front support.

Abstract: A lightweight, portable frame allows a caregiver to fix one or two of the caregiver's lower legs and knees in position with respect to one or two of a patient's lower legs and knees so that the fixed lower legs together support and balance the combined body weight of the caregiver and patient, allowing the caregiver to pivot the patient up or down from a seated position by using the fixed knees as a fulcrum. The frame has a lower section with a central concavity that engages one person's leg below the knee from one direction, and peripheral concavities on either side of the central concavity that engage another person's legs below the knee from the opposite direction. Legs in the peripheral concavities partially straddle the leg in the central concavity. The frame is strapped onto the patient with an upper portion of the frame braced against the patient's upper leg.

Abstract: A method of making foam imparts antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities to the foam. Green tea powder is added to the polyol raw materials for making memory foam. The green tea memory foam is used to make pillows, cushions and mattresses. Green tea foam in the top layer of a mattress acts as an antiodorant such that less of the chemical smell of the memory foam is perceived by the user. In addition, the bacteria and mold that would otherwise develop in the moist warmer sleeping environment on memory foam are killed by the green tea additive to the foam. Measurable antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities in the green tea foam are achievable by adding green tea powder constituting less than 2% of the weight of the resulting green tea foam.
