Abstract: Methods disclosed for lead generation relate to matching prospective applicants with educational institutions. Prospective applicants provide personal information and educational background information which are used to find matching educational institutions. Methods include enhancing connections between education institutions and prospective applicants by setting up mutually agree appointments. Systems and apparatuses are also disclosed to implement the disclosed methods.

Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method and a system for managing viewability of a location-based spatial object. The system provides subscribers to set up searching criteria for every spatial object through the viewability management mechanism. A viewable range for a spatial object is such as a spatial range, a user range and/or a time range. While the system inspects the spatial information and searching criteria of the spatial objects registered in a database, it may be found that the viewable ranges of multiple spatial objects are interfered under the same searching criteria. Thus, the system allows the subscribers to assign ranking weights to different spatial objects for giving them different values. As a result, the system adjusts an order to display the multiple spatial objects according to their ranking weights under the same searching criteria. A search result is displayed through an augmented-reality technology in a terminal device.

Various embodiments may include presenting the one or more elements of interest, the one or more potential elements of interest, and the one or more concepts, receiving a user input that selects one or more of the one or more elements of interest, the one or more potential elements of interest, and the one or more concepts identified in the identified elements of interest and concepts or any combination thereof for a target image, and generating the semantic representation of the target image based on the selected elements of interest and concepts.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing data. During operation, the system calculates one or more quantiles from a distribution of historic user engagement with content within a member segment of a social network. Next, the system performs a comparison of the one or more quantiles with a current measurement of user engagement with a content item within the member segment. When the comparison indicates that the current measurement of user engagement exceeds a threshold, the system presents the content item to one or more members in the member segment.

Abstract: An extract, load, and transform (ELT) management service provides functionality for managing ELT operations, including publish/subscribe functionality. The ELT management service maintains metadata describing publications, such as database tables or files stored by a storage service operating in a service provider network, and publication certificates, which describe the creation and change history for the publications. The metadata can be searched to identify publications that rely on other publications that have changed since the publications were generated. The identified publications can then be automatically republished by executing logical pipelines that specify activities that can be executed to republish the publications.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a search method and apparatus. A specific implementation of the method comprises: receiving first information for searching, the first information for searching comprising an image for searching; determining an image attribute tag selected by a selection operation as being second information for searching in response to detecting the selection operation of the preset image attribute tag, the image attribute tag being used for indicating an attribute of the image; sending the received first information for searching and the determined second information for searching to a server, so that the server conducts a search according to the first information for searching and the second information for searching to obtain and send a first image search result; and receiving and displaying the first image search result sent by the server. This implementation improves the search efficiency.

Abstract: Resource data objects describing resources in a system may be maintained in multiple different hierarchies for applying policies to manage the resources. Lookup requests may access the different hierarchies to determine which policies are applicable to a given resource based on the policies identified in each of the hierarchies. Modifications to hierarchies may be performed in isolation so that the application of policies in other hierarchies is unchanged by modifications to a different hierarchy. Access restrictions may be enforced with respect to hierarchies so that different users may be permitted access to different hierarchies for system resource management.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments also include monitoring and metering services of the data fabric service (DFS) system. Specifically, these services can include techniques for monitoring and metering metrics of the DFS system. The metrics are standards for measuring use or misuse of the DFS system. Examples of the metrics include data or components of the DFS system. For example, a metric can include data stored or communicated by the DFS system or components of the DFS system that are used or reserved for exclusive use by customers. The metrics can be measured with respect to time or computing resources (e.g., CPU utilization, memory usage) of the DFS system. For example, a DFS service can include metering the usage of particular worker nodes by a customer over a threshold period of time.

Abstract: A data processing method, apparatus, medium and terminal thereof are disclosed in the present disclosure, the method comprising: determining data-to-be-processed based on data provided by a data provider, the data-to-be-processed includes plaintext description data; storing the plaintext description data to a database, the database may be used to support a search engine; and in response to confirmation of search results from the search engine by a data requestor, triggering a smart contract running on blockchain, the smart contract includes communication and records between the data requestor and the data provider. The technical solution in some embodiments improves search efficiency of data in blockchain technology applications.

A method according to some embodiments includes receiving a notice that a data retention period has expired for a database table stored in a data warehouse, identifying that the database table is labeled as legal hold data, transferring the database table to a cold storage device that includes an array of digital optical discs in response to the identification of legal hold data, and labeling the database table stored in the cold storage device as legal hold data and preventing removal or modification of the database table labeled as legal hold data.

Abstract: Methods and system are disclosed that optimize memory consumed, by sharing datasets between workspaces. In one aspect, multiple workspaces may be instantiated by retrieving multiple datasets from multiple data sources. An input to execute transformations on the multiple datasets may be received. Based on a determination of execution of a transformation on the multiple datasets, a dataset context analyzer may be executed to analyze a current context of data in the multiple datasets. Based on a result of execution of the dataset context analyzer, a transformation graph analyzer may be executed to compute a current context of transformations on the multiple datasets. Based on the determined current context of data and the current context of the transformations on the dataset, memory consumed may be optimized by sharing the multiple datasets between the multiple workspaces.

An associated method may include receiving a search query, querying at least one database based upon the search query, and receiving results to the search query from the at least one database. Each of the plurality of categories may be associated with the results via a respective tag in the at least one database. Upon detecting activity from an input device, the method further may include filtering the plurality of categories of the three-dimensional matrix, and prioritizing the results based upon the filtering. Representing the results via the three-dimensional matrix may include presenting the results in a list correlated to the three-dimensional matrix, and prioritizing the results based upon the filtering may include prioritizing the list.

Abstract: A method is used in managing backing up of file systems. A portion of a file system that has changed since a last backup is determined. The file system includes a set of directory hierarchies. Each directory hierarchy includes a set of directories. Each directory of the set of directories includes a set of files. The portion of the file system is determined based on blocks of the file system that have changed since the last backup. The changed blocks are identified based on changes between at least two snapshot copies of the file system. Based on the changed blocks, a set of inodes of the file system that has changed since the last backup is determined. Based on the determination, a list of changed files associated with the set of inodes for performing backup of changed files of the file system is determined.

Abstract: Traversing data stored in a relational graph by utilization of probabilistic characteristics associated with the graph nodes is disclosed. When a user submits a request with a graph query, an initial node associated with the graph query is identified. Further, the edge type associated the node is extracted from the graph query. When traversing the graph by following relevant edges from the initial node to new nodes, each new node is queried with the extracted edge type. If the query for the node is negative, then the edges for the particular node are not enumerated. However, if the query for the node is positive, then the edges for the particular node are enumerated for expanding the subgraph. This process continues until the subgraph is expanded to include all relevant nodes. Thus, the computational efficiency is improved by reducing the number of edges that must be traversed when performing graph queries.
