Abstract: A hotend assembly for an additive manufacturing device. The hotend assembly comprises a heated chamber, a number of inlets configured to feed filament into the heated chamber, and an exit orifice from the heated chamber. An actuated rod extends into the heated chamber and is rotated by a motor, wherein the actuated rod is configured to impart mechanical energy to the filament inside the heated chamber prior to extrusion through the exit orifice.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an automated system for applying coatings to big structures, such as bridges. The automated system comprises a robot coupled to a railing and the railing in turn operably coupled to a mobile platform. At least one nozzle is configured in the robot which is connected to a proportioner via a hose. A computing unit controls the robot and the proportioner for applying desired coating patterns.
Abstract: A method for producing a film of the present invention includes the step of electrostatically spraying a liquid composition directly on the surface of skin using an electrostatic spray device to form a film on the skin. The electrostatic spray device includes a container capable of storing the liquid composition, a nozzle configured to eject the liquid composition, a power supply configured to apply a voltage to the nozzle, and a voltage stabilizer configured to stabilize the voltage applied by the power supply to the nozzle. The liquid composition contains component (a): one or more volatile substances selected from alcohols and ketones, and component (b): a polymer having film formability.
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system including: at least one ceramic foam comprising a porous top surface, porous channels, and a porous bottom surface, wherein the at least one ceramic foam is over a surface of a solar panel such that when dust particles are poured onto the porous top surface of the at least one ceramic foam, the dust particles permeate through the porous channels of the at least one ceramic foam and then exit from the porous bottom surface of the at least one ceramic foam to form a layer of dust, with a pre-determined thickness, on the surface of the solar panel.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a film forming method capable of forming a film by an aerosol deposition with high accuracy patterning. The object of the present invention is achieved by aerosolizing a raw material liquid including a film forming material; supplying the aerosol to a base material; and forming a film of the film forming material on the base material, in which the base material has, on a film forming surface, a liquid-repellent region which has liquid repellency to the raw material liquid and a lyophilic region which has lyophilicity to the raw material liquid, and in a case where a width of the liquid-repellent region is L and a diameter of the aerosol is D, “D>L” is satisfied.
Abstract: A steel substrate is provided, coated on at least one of its faces with a metallic coating based on zinc or its alloys wherein the metallic coating is itself coated with a zincsulphate-based layer including at least one of the compounds selected from among zincsulphate monohydrate, zincsulphate tetrahydrate and zincsulphate heptahydrate, wherein the zincsulphate-based layer has neither zinc hydroxysulphate nor free water molecules nor free hydroxyl groups, the surface density of sulphur in the zincsulphate-based layer being greater than or equal to 0.5 mg/m2. Abstract: A forming station for producing a packaging trough by thermoforming at least an area of a film web positioned between a forming tool upper part and a forming tool lower part of the forming station. A male die part of the forming tool upper part may be moved in a vertical direction and inserted into a forming space of a female die part of the forming tool lower part. The packaging trough is produced by deforming the film web between the male die part and an inner wall of the forming space of the female die part. In an inserted condition of the male die part within the female die art, a push-in unit is extended from the male die part towards the inner wall of the forming space at an angular orientation relative to the vertical direction.
Abstract: A seed treatment apparatus provides for minimal waste of products for treating seeds, in that it is precisely controllable and automatically adjustable. A volume of seeds to be treated and a flow rate of treatment product for treating the seeds can both be sensed. At least one of the flow rate of the treatment product and the volume of seeds can automatically be adjusted if it is determined that a ratio of the flow rate of treatment product to the volume of seeds is not the same as a predetermined flow rate to volume ratio.

Abstract: A process for manufacture of a profiled non-stick pan with a concave-convex pattern, which includes the following steps: preparing a flat blank for forming a pan body; screen printing a layer of ink with a predetermined pattern on a surface of the blank for a pan body, then drying and curing the ink; etching, by an etching process, the surface of the blank, on areas of the surface not covered by the ink, then cleaning and drying the blank, and retaining the ink; spraying non-stick pan coating on the blank, then baking the blank at high temperature, to enable the ink to automatically peel off at high temperature; pressing and stretching the blank to form a profiled pan body, then deburring and polishing on an edge of the pan body.

The preparation method comprises: preparing an aluminium salt solution and a fluorescent powder; dispersing the fluorescent powder into a buffer solution having a pH 4.5-5.5 to obtain a suspension; titrating the suspension with the aluminium salt solution to obtain a fluorescent powder coated with Al2O3 hydrate film; calcining the fluorescent powder coated with Al2O3 hydrate film to obtain a Al2O3-coated fluorescent powder; mixing aluminium oxide powder with a particle size of 0.1 ?m-1 ?m and aluminium oxide powder with a particle size of 1 ?m-10 ?m to obtain mixed aluminium oxide powder; mixing the Al2O3-coated fluorescent powder and the mixed aluminium oxide powder to obtain mixed powder, the Al2O3-coated fluorescent powder being present in 40%-90% by weight of the mixed powder; and pre-pressing and sintering the mixed powder to obtain the ceramic composite material.

Abstract: The disclosure provides example methods and a system that includes: (a) a fluidization bed having a reservoir and comprising a base and a plurality of side walls, (b) an epoxy-based powder disposed within the reservoir, where the fluidization bed is configured to fluidize the epoxy-based powder, (c) a first heating element configured to heat the wire matrix reinforcement to at least a melting temperature, (d) a conveyor positioned over the fluidization bed and configured to engage the wire matrix reinforcement, where the conveyor is configured to submerge the wire matrix reinforcement into the fluidized epoxy-based powder such that a portion of the epoxy-based powder melts and coats the wire matrix reinforcement, and where the conveyor is configured to remove the wire matrix reinforcement from the epoxy-based powder; and (e) a second heating element configured to cure the epoxy-based powder coating the wire matrix reinforcement into a corrosion resistant barrier.
Abstract: A method of inspecting a dispenser including a faceplate comprises translating a sensor across the faceplate while measuring a distance between the sensor and the faceplate. The sensor is oriented such that a longitudinal axis of the sensor extends at an acute angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the faceplate. The method may include translating another sensor across the faceplate while measuring the same distance. Or the method may include another translating of the sensor across the faceplate while measuring the same distance. In either case, the sensor is oriented such that the longitudinal axis of the sensor extends at an obtuse angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the faceplate. The method includes determining, based on the measured distances, whether an amount of accumulated formable material on the surface of the faceplate is greater than a predetermined value.

Abstract: A nanofabrication method comprises receiving information regarding a distortion within an imprint system, generating a first drop pattern that is not based on the received information, generating a second drop pattern and a third drop pattern, each based on the received information, modifying the first drop pattern to generate a fourth drop pattern. The modifying includes adding a first plurality of drop positions to the first drop pattern or removing a second plurality of drop positions from the first drop pattern, thereby forming an intermediate drop pattern, and either removing the second plurality of drop positions from the intermediate drop pattern or adding the first plurality of drops to the intermediate pattern. Abstract: In a spraying process for coating a substrate with a substance atomised in a stream of gas, a spray head is used to generate a stream of gas that acts upon the substrate. The substance is present in a syringe-like application container equipped with an application tip.
