    Abstract: A stator for a rotating electric machine includes a laminated core, and an electrically conductive winding including a winding top layer with electrically conductive top bars, and a winding bottom layer with electrically conductive bottom bars. Each groove of a stator segment of the laminated core has arranged therein a top bar and a bottom bar in adjacent relationship. The top and bottom bars protrude out of the grooves. A connecting element connects a free end of a top bar to a free end of a bottom bar of an adjacent stator segment and includes an inclined section to connect two ends of the connecting element. The ends are angled relative to the inclined section. One end of the connecting element is connected to the free end of the bottom bar and the other end of the connecting element is connected to the free end of the top bar.

Each static magnetic magnet has a disk-shaped magnetic material pole 201 and a ring-shaped magnetic material pole 202. Each gradient coil has a first coil 204 that applies a magnetic field gradient in a Z axis direction in an imaging region, and a laminate 301 that shields the disk-shaped magnetic material pole from magnetic flux produced in the first coil. The laminate has a smaller thickness in the Z axis direction on the ring-shaped magnetic material pole side than that in a center portion of the imaging space.

    Abstract: A rotation angle detection sensor detects the rotation angle of a rotating part attached to a structure including a fixed part and a rotating part that rotates around a rotary shaft. The rotation angle detection sensor includes a reed switch attached to the fixed or rotating part with reeds placed near the rotary shaft. An annular magnet is attached to the rotating or fixed part. A magnetic circuit is formed with respect to the reed switch, with its central axis arranged concentrically with the rotary shaft. When the magnet rotates around the central axis with respect to the reed switch, if the same poles of the magnet are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch, the reed switch is turned off. If opposite poles of the magnet are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch, the reed switch is turned on.
