Abstract: Structure of diary of high practicality of use, characterized by the fact of comprising weekly modules, bound together, each one constituted of a page; sub-divided into two parts, which have note space structured in a weekly and daily manner; in addition, each module comprising supplementary portions, bound with the above mentioned parts in such a way as to define further daily note space, superimposable on the internal and external zones of those parts.

Abstract: An envelope has one wall with a stamp integrated in the wall. The wall has a zone of least resistance which surrounds the stamp for removing the stamp from the wall. The stamp has a first, inner face with adhesive and/or graphic signs. In another embodiment, a second, outer face is marked with graphic signs and the second face has prominent parts of deformation of the stamp, and the first face has concave parts in register with the prominent parts for facilitating separation of the stamp from the envelope.

Abstract: A packing list or bill of lading may be easily manufactured from an intermediate comprising a single sheet of paper so that the form can be printed in either cut sheet or continuous format in a simple manner with a minimum amount of adhesive for attaching the form to a package, and with a maximum useful area on the form for informational indicia. The business form is constructed typically by Z or eccentrically Z-folding an intermediate about first and second fold lines to define three plies with aligned first and second lines of weakness formed in the plies substantially parallel to the first and second side edges of the plies and defining first and second detachable side strips preferably between about 1-1.25 inches wide.

Abstract: A method of constructing a photo collage wherein a plurality of digital images are provided in a low resolution format on sticker sheets that have a unique identifier that cross references the reduced resolution images digital images with a high resolution version that is stored in a data base. A page layout form is provided such that a plurality of pages each having a plurality of layouts on which to position the low resolution image stickers. The sticker sheet pages are loaded with low resolution stickers for creating the pages of the photoalbum by arranging the stickers in a desired manner on a page layout form resulting in one of the page layouts being used for each of the pages. The images on the page layout form is then correlated to the high resolution version of the images stored in the database to retrieve a high resolution version of the photo collage which is then produced using conventional photofinishing techniques.

Abstract: A perpetual symbol coded means for calendaring, presenting--in one embodiment--a two dimensional matrix which graphically presents the basic information of the month, day and date for a given year. Correlation of the basic calendaring data is achieved by way of a matrix, whereby a column arrays monthly data, another columnar arrangement offers day information for consideration and a yearly designator appears as a legend or heading. A method of use, including a means for extrapolation of any desired yearly information into the present invention is taught in addition to software means for implementing the same.

Abstract: A notepad has a plurality of stacked notes adapted to be secured to an object. The notes each have a leaf with an edge. Each note also has an adhesive sheet secured along the edge of the leaf. This adhesive sheet has (a) an overlay section overlaying part of the leaf, and (b) a narrowed extension section extending away from the leaf in an extension direction. This extension section is adapted to be secured to the object.

Abstract: A binding device for binding a stack of sheets with a bind member in which parallel legs extend perpendicularly from a straight portion, the binding device comprises: a driver plate which drives the straight portion of the bind member toward the legs; curved shaping guide grooves which are formed to respectively correspond to the legs; and a fulcrum member which is disposed in the vicinity of and inside one end of each of the shaping guide grooves, and which constitutes shaping fulcrums, the shaping fulcrums respectively engaging with side faces of the legs of the bind member which is driven out toward the one end of each of the shaping guide grooves, thereby bendingly shaping the legs, and, during a period after the bind member is driven out and before the legs are formed into ring-like shapes by the fulcrum member and the shaping guide grooves, the legs are passed through punched holes formed in an edge portion of each of sheets.

Abstract: Booklets produced from a web of material which is cut, folded and joined in a manner that allows presentation of multiple pages of material. Tabs, which are cut from the web of material, are folded and joined to each other in to create a ribbon which winds through the "pages" of the booklet to allow the pages to be unfolded without expanding the booklet.

Abstract: A ring binder is provided including a linearly-extending first spine, a linearly-extending second spine, a series of spaced first substantially half-rings attached to one of the spines, and a series of spaced second substantially half-rings on the other of the spines, the distal ends of the half-rings on the first spine facing the distal end of the half-rings on the second spine. A hinge connection extends between the spines. A releasable lock includes a lever and a pair of links is pivoted to the lever and to outer edges of the spines. An integral lever tab extends from between the ends of the spines. Push movement inwardly of the lever, by pushing the lever tabs, places the lock into a locking mode holding the first and second half-rings closed in a paper sheets-holding mode. An outward pull movement of the lever tab places the lock into a non-locking mode resulting in opening of the first and second half-rings in a paper sheets removal mode.

Abstract: A system for rivetless attachment of a ring binder assembly to a cover wherein an attachment portion including one or more prongs adapted to imbeddingly engage a cover substrate and a surface adapted to mate in facing relation with a surface of the cover is formed unitary with a confining spring cover plate of the ring binder assembly, the ring binder assembly being attached to the cover by forcing the attachment portion against it with sufficient force to drive the prongs into the substrate and hold the surface of the attachment portion firmly against the cover.

Abstract: An improved binder formed of two cover portions made of rigid material joined together with a living hinge. A closure flap with a second living hinge joins the free ends of the cover opposite the binder spine. An improved method of attaching a pocket to the binder is also disclosed. The use of such a technique on rigid polypropylene material allows roll feeding of materials, eliminates the need for a chipboard, allows existing printing and sealing machinery to be employed in the manufacture of the binder, and provides improved durability and aesthetics at a low cost.

Abstract: A clipboard includes a planar panel suitable for writing and holding documents and a retaining member pivotally secured thereto that is configured to have Rolodex.RTM.-style cards releasably secured to a front surface thereof. A pair of adjacent, spaced-apart card retaining rails are secured to the retaining member front face. One or more cards are releasably secured to the card retaining rails via a pair of complementary shaped notches. Each card includes opposite first and second faces with printed indicia on at least one of the first and second faces. Each card is also movable along the retaining rails from a first position wherein the first face is exposed to a second position wherein the second face is exposed.

Abstract: A planar form or structure is used to create a laminated card or other planar article. The structure and related method allow the carrier surface of the laminated article to be customized or personalized, before it is laminated, such as by adding to the carrier surface an account number, signature, address, serial number, photograph, microchip, or other planar indicia. The carrier surface is adhered to the transparent lamina across substantially all its surface area to create a strong, tamper resistant bond. The laminated card is created from a multiple-ply structure defined within the boundaries of the larger form. The multiple-ply structure has horizontal dimensions substantially corresponding to the ultimate horizontal dimensions of the laminated card or article being created. The carrier is printable and able to be laminated on both sides, yet if desired, the carrier can be limited to only a single ply, thereby reducing the thickness of the resulting laminated card.

Abstract: A combination preselected medication sample prescription form, sample payment check, and medication sample regulating device includes a support panel having an obverse or front facing surface which defines a first and second portion thereof. An area for receiving written, printed or typed patient identification information is viewably applied over the first portion and a removable medication prescription form is attached over the second portion of the support panel. The second portion includes a preprinted payment check for a sample quantity or as a partial payment for a larger quantity of preselected medication. This combination permits the physician to simultaneously begin the process of distributing a sample quantity of the preselected medication and to write a prescription for any quantity therefor. The preferred embodiment also includes a manufacturers product information sheet removably attached to either the support panel or the prescription form, or between both.

Abstract: A ring type binder for perforated sheets or the like in which two members are coaxially secured so that a slot is formed along each longitudinal edge of the members. Another partially open ring member is provided that is configured to be slidably received in the slots so that ring member may be moved from an opened to a closed position. A locking device is provided so that the binder may be selectively locked in the closed portion, thereby preventing the unwanted shifting of the members.

Abstract: A fastener (30) for fastening a paper retaining binder mechanism (18) to the spine (16) of a binder (10) and remaining entirely concealed from an outer surface of the binder. The fastener includes a circular anchor plate (38) and a vertically extending attachment post or eyelet (34). The post is a truncated cone of uniform taper. The anchor plate includes a circumferential reinforcing lip (48). The fastener is secured to the spine by a number of spurs (50) uniformly spaced about the circumference of the anchor plate. The eyelet extends perpendicular of the anchor plate and the binder mechanism seats on the eyelet by an opening (26, 28). The upper end of the eyelet is then deformed about the opening to secure the binder mechanism in place.

Abstract: A ring binder mechanism adapted to be secured to a cover is disclosed as including a substantially rigid upper curved housing supporting a pair of plates to which three pairs of half-ring members are mounted, and a pair of rivets for engagement with the cover. The plates are pivotably movable between a first configuration in which the pairs of half-rings are closed, and a second configuration in which the pairs of half-rings are open. Each rivet includes an anchor plate to abut the cover and at least one claw penetrable into said cover in order to secure the ring binder mechanism to the cover, and the anchor plate includes a number of ridges or troughs.

Abstract: A ring binder (10) holding sheets (S) of paper (P) has a dual angle ring metal (100). The ring metal includes a pair of leaves (102, 104) hingedly connected to each other for relative movement between them. Binder rings (114, 116, 118) each include a pair of ring halves with one end of each ring half being attached to a separate one of the leaves. A shield (30) covers the leaves. Release levers (140, 142) at each end of the shield are operable to open and close the binder. The leaves, when the ring binder is closed, form a predetermined angle (A) with respect to each other. Each of the leaves has a segment (122a, 122b, 124a, 124b) by which a second angle (B) is formed between the leaves. This second angle is formed such that the pair of leaves are prevented from movement relative to each other by movement of paper from one side of the binder to the other. However, the plates are readily movable to open the binder by movement of one of the release levers.
