  • Patent number: 7234171
Abstract: A protective garment having an expandable material incorporated therein is provided. The expandable material may be formed of a nonwoven fabric having a first fabric surface and a second fabric surface which is opposite the first fabric surface. A section of the fabric defines at least one region gathered into a plurality of successive pleats. Each pleat is made of an overlap in the fabric such that a portion of the first fabric surface is disposed adjacent to another portion of the first fabric surface. A secondary panel for straddling a pleat may be provided. The secondary panel may be attached to the fabric by attachment points that are adapted to retain the pleat in a folded state until application of a tensile force directed along the fabric length causes the secondary panel to separate which would enable the pleat to unfold.

  • Patent number: 7231670
Abstract: A versatile scarf includes an elongated rectangular neckband portion, a large half-fan shaped flap connected to one side of the neckband portion and a small half-fan shaped flap connected to another side of the neckband portion forming draping portions, and a loop coupled between the small flap and the neckband portion. Both sides of the scarf have the same configuration, therefore the scarf is completely reversible. The scarf can be securely tied by pulling the large flap through the loop between the neckband and the small flap, without using other fastening means. Depending on how far the large flap is pulled, through front or back loop, from top or bottom of the loop, re-looping or not, and depending on which side is showing and the position of the scarf, numerous stylish and distinctive appearances can be achieved. The dimensions of the scarf can be varied to suit different purposes.

  • Patent number: 6115841
Abstract: A cleaning cloth wiper for glass lenses that is permanently attached to the back of each of the ends of a necktie, thereby providing the eyeglass wearing professional an immediately available means of cleaning one's glass lenses. The cleaning cloth material (18A, 18B) is attached on the back side of the ends (12, 14) of the outer shell (10) fabric, which comprises the main portion of, and is cut in the shape of, a standard necktie. The lateral edges of the outer shell (10) are then folded around the interlining (16) of the necktie and attached to form a seam traversing the length of the back of the necktie. By the manner of attachment to the back of the necktie, the wipers become outwardly concealed when the necktie is worn, so that the necktie maintains its traditional appearance.
