  • Patent number: 12128313
Abstract: This specification provides a computer-implemented method, the method comprising obtaining a machine-learning model. The machine-learning model is being trained with expert data comprising a plurality of training examples. Each training example comprises: (i) game state data representing a state of a video game environment, and (ii) scored action data representing an action and a score for that action if performed by a video game entity of the video game environment subsequent to the state of the video game environment. An action is performed by the video game entity based on a prediction for the action generated by the machine-learning model. The method further comprises determining whether the action performed by the video game entity was optimal. In response to determining that the action performed by the video game entity was suboptimal, a healed training example is generated.

  • Patent number: 12083414
Abstract: A card handling apparatus and method of manufacture and assembly is used for creating pre-formed hands for use in casino poker games whereupon the apparatus may be programmed to accommodate a number of different game variations, and a differing number of players, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an unshuffled card input portal, a shuffled card discharge portal and an elevator having a plurality of card storage nests whose operation utilizes inertial forces. The exploitation of inertial forces allows the apparatus to be operated without the need for the motorized card pusher mechanisms which are prevalent in the prior art, thus creating a card handling apparatus that is more compact and requires less manufacturing cost. In comparison to prior art hand-forming shufflers which typically utilize five or six motors, the preferred embodiment utilizes just two motors. A method of rotating the axis of individual playing cards during nest insertion is also taught.

  • Patent number: 12042739
Abstract: A method of gradually revealing an image using cube puzzles is provided. A first image is divided into a plurality of blocks. Each block can have one or more arbitrary colors. A second image is then generated from the first image where each block of the second image corresponds to one or more blocks of the first image. The blocks of the second image are unicolor blocks with colors that are selected from one of the six colors of a cube puzzle. Groups of adjacent blocks of the second image with the same number of rows and columns as the sides of the cube puzzles are assigned to participants to match to the color of the blocks on the sides of their cube puzzles. Once each participant matches the colors of an assigned region on a side of the corresponding cube puzzle, the matched region is reveled to all participants.

  • Patent number: 12033667
Abstract: In various examples, durations of relatively high user activity within a gameplay session may be determined from user input events using a running user activity measurement. Once a duration is identified, it may be further analyzed to merge the duration with one or more other durations and/or to determine or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. A user interest score for an identified duration may be computed based on a set of the user input events that occur in the duration and used to determine and/or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. In some cases, an action may be performed based on determining the user interest score is greater than a statistical value that is computed from user interest scores of multiple identified durations.
