Abstract: A large capacity wind power generator is provided, which includes an outer rotor including an upper partitioning plate having a plurality of spokes formed along a circular circumference of the upper partitioning plate at equal intervals and a side partitioning plate formed on one side surface of the outer rotor, the outer rotor having a lower surface and the other side surface which are open; and a windmill formed inside the outer rotor to be rotated by wind flowing through the outer rotor. The side partitioning plate is formed to have an area that is smaller than a half of the entire circumferential area of the outer rotor, and spaces between the respective spokes are open so as to facilitate an inflow of the wind through the side surface of the outer rotor.
Abstract: An automotive HVAC diffuser connects to a blower and a variable blower control (VBC) module having a plurality of cooling fins. An inlet receives air flow from the blower. An outlet is downstream from the inlet. An enclosed passageway is provided between the inlet and the outlet for forming a diffused air stream at the outlet. The enclosed passageway has a plurality of peripheral walls for guiding the air stream between the inlet and the outlet, including a curved outer peripheral wall corresponding to a region with a tendency for a high flow as a result of centrifugal effects. One of the peripheral walls includes a VBC receptacle formed as a depression into the peripheral wall having a substantially flat mounting surface and a first sloped side at an upstream end of the VBC receptacle to shape a portion of the diffused air stream.

Abstract: A propeller fan has a gap between a bellmouth and each blade tip. A leakage flow is thus produced from a positive pressure surface of a blade toward a negative pressure surface of the blade via the gap. The leakage flow develops while flowing from the leading edge of each blade toward the trailing edge, thus forming a blade tip vortex. This increases blowing noise and raises the input of the fan motor. In order to suppress the blade tip vortex caused by the leakage flow, the present invention includes recessed portions and projected portions, which are alternately formed in a portion of a blade surface of each blade corresponding to the blade tip.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aerofoil (20) comprising a leading edge portion (22) and a flexible thin-walled portion (26) that is rearwards of the leading edge portion, defining a cavity (28), and a shape-forming insert (30) for inserting into the cavity. The shape-forming insert at least partly defines the profile of the aerofoil such that changing the shape of the insert changes the profile of the aerofoil.
