  • Patent number: 11425658
Abstract: Example methods and systems are disclosed to facilitate detection and identification of devices connected to a cellular network and that are causing interference to the cellular network. An example method may include receiving, by a serving base station of the device, a first set of information associated with data communications of a device utilizing a cellular network. The method may further include determining the device is an interfering device based on the first set of information associated with the data communication substantially corresponding with an interfering device profile, and in response tracking the device. During the tracking of the device, a second set of information associated with the data communications from the device may be obtained, and an interfering device type of the device may be determined based on the second set of information. An action may be performed on the interfering device based on its interfering device type.

  • Patent number: 11419004
Abstract: A method for optimizing the processing of logical channels when multiple transport formats are to be served is provided. In certain aspects, instead of filling sequentially each transport format one by one, the protocol packets to be transmitted by the transport block are concurrently constructed. This may be accomplished, for instance, by taking into consideration the requirements of the data (for example, latency and reliability) to be transmitted as well as the characteristics of the available transport format (for example, size, expected channel quality, transmission length, etc.).

  • Patent number: 11412376
Abstract: The proposed technology generally relates to interworking and integration of different radio access networks, and more specifically to carrier aggregation between different radio access networks such as a cellular radio access network, e.g. a 3GPP network, on one hand and a WLAN network such as Wi-Fi, on the other hand. Such tight interworking/aggregation of radio access networks puts new requirements on efficient handling of authentication and security aspects. The proposed technology provides methods, and corresponding network nodes, computer programs, carriers comprising such computer programs, and computer program products as well as arrangements to support carrier aggregation between different radio access networks.

  • Patent number: 11411666
Abstract: A first network device may receive, from a second network device, a clock quality indication that is associated with a clock of the second network device, wherein the clock of the second network device is a reference clock for a network that includes the first network device and the second network device. The first network device may determine, based on a clock signal of the second network device, that a quality metric of the clock does not satisfy a threshold. The first network device may provide, to the second network device, a clock fault notification to cause the second network device to downgrade the clock quality indication transmitted by the second network device. The first network device may select a new reference clock for the first network device based on receiving the downgraded clock quality indication from the second network device.

  • Patent number: 11405122
Abstract: Systems and methods to enable 5G system support for conveying time synchronization are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for conveying external time domain information is provided. The method includes receiving a message in a first time domain used by the wireless device, the message comprising external time domain information; determining information about a second time domain based on the external time domain information; and conveying information about the second time domain to another node. In some embodiments, timing information is included into a GPRS Tunneling Protocol (GTP) payload, and the wireless device can get timing information directly from the data payload. This minimizes the RAN and/or gNB impact and adds the potential for multiple time domain support.

  • Patent number: 11381352
Abstract: A wireless device receives an uplink grant for consecutive subframes. The uplink grant indicates: a number of the consecutive subframes comprising a starting subframe and an ending subframe; and a hybrid automatic repeat request process number (HARQ ID). LBT(s) are performed for transmitting via the consecutive subframes. A packet is transmitted via a first subframe of the consecutive subframes according to a first HARQ ID. The first HARQ ID is equal to ((the HARQ ID plus i) modulo a first pre-configured number). i indicates a subframe position of the first subframe in the consecutive subframes. i is equal to zero for the starting subframe and i is equal to the number minus one for the ending subframe, regardless of an outcome of the LBT(s) for any subframe of the consecutive subframes before the first subframe.

Abstract: An uplink grant is received. The uplink grant comprises: a field indicating a number of consecutive uplink subframes; an assignment of resource blocks comprising subcarriers; and a power control command. A determination is made of a transmission power of transport blocks in each subframe of the consecutive uplink subframes based on the power control command. The transmission power in each subframe is adjusted based on a total transmit power in each subframe exceeding a power value in each subframe. Transport blocks are transmitted, using the transmission power, via the subcarriers across each of the consecutive uplink subframes.

  • Patent number: 11343022
Abstract: A first wireless communications device including a transmitter, such as a base station or UE, identifies a first traffic flow, e.g., a TCP packet flow, for which end to end packet retransmission is supported. The first wireless communications device transmits an explicit indication to a second wireless communications device to skip Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback for data, corresponding to the first traffic flow, said data being transmitted to the second wireless communications device. The explicit indication to skip HARQ feedback for data is, e.g., one of: a HARQ Off Indicator in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) Scheduling message, a Semi-Persistent Scheduling HARQ Off Indicator, or a AUL HARQ Off Indicator. HARQ suppression is applied for the first traffic flow at a radio link layer and/or MAC layer.
